  1. way to go Arthur Rhodes
  2. The pitch Soriano hit for a double, is 95/100 a K or weak grounder/pop-up
  3. Despite the runs, Hansen looked great tonight. A couple bloop hits and bad pitch calling led to the runs.
  4. how the hell did Soriano hit that pitch.
  5. Why didnt Mirrabelli call for another pitch that AB other than a fastball?
  6. who are all these random pitchers the yankees keep coming up with http://interaktiv.vg.no/filmextra/bilder/personer/rowan_atkinson.jpg or http://riverdogs.com.ismmedia.com/ISM2/PlayerManager/679.jpeg.300.jpeg T.J. Beam??? aka Mr. Bean
  7. hahaha this guy is a friggen beast Phils take a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the 7th friggen triple for the big fella
  8. i dont see how he can. He is just downright unhittable as long as he uses his 3 pitches effectively. Tonight he had everything working. A 98 mph fastball, a nasty slider (the one he got Guillen to foul off) and a pretty sick changeup (the one he got Anderson to pop out on).
  9. I honestly think that unless the Sox find a starter or Clement can come back and be effective, theres a chance that Hansen is the closer by August and Papelbon moves back to the rotation. As long as Hansen can do what he did tonight on a usual bases, hed be unhittable as a Closer. Doubtful this happens, but who knows
  10. i honestly think in terms of pure stuff, Hansen has more potential than Papelbon. A 98 MPH fastball a good moving 95 MPH 2 seamer a 87 MPH slider with good movement, very tough pitch to hit. and a 85 MPH changeup with a little sink to it.
  11. Cora's batting .304 and really been tearing it up lately. Wonder if Tito starts giving him more starts at SS, which it seems like he plans on doing. That might end up being a straight out platoon for a while
  12. Atleast Geary got Posada and Cano to K after Arods "clutch" hit.
  13. 11-1 Sox on a RBI hit by Kapler Willie Harris now pinch hitting When Willie Harris and Tavarez are in at the same time, you know the games over
  14. Damn you Arod
  15. i second that move nevermind, now Arod can end the inning with a DP
  16. Coco showing some power from the right side
  17. Tavarez does decent in the role he should be in. He still left a lot of pitches up, but it doesnt matter since the Nats cant hit.
  18. 5-4 Phils as Posada goes deep to lead off the 6th
  19. good move for the Yankees as Rowand pops up to SS to end the inning
  20. Big K by Wake get a DP here
  21. thats his 10th GIDP this year. Last year he had 8 total and his career high is 18. and it seems like everyone of the DP's this year have came in a big situation.
  22. They dont need Crawford, they need a power bat in the middle of their order. The Rays also want Brandon Wood included in the deal, which most likely wont happen. And with Gathright being traded, T.B. is going to need Crawford for a couple more years if they ever want to be successful. There future OF should be Crawford/Baldelli/Young. WMP and Buchholz for Santana and Gorneault would be good for both sides and wouldnt hurt the Sox in the long run and definetely help for this year. I know WMP is supposedly our starting RF next year, but i think Trot deserves the spot next year and i hope he gets signed for 2-3 years. After that, we have Luis Soto or Jason Place to take over in RF.
  23. I know this may seem far fetched, but what about trading for Ervin Santana. Ive read in a lot of places, that if Colon can come back and be effective they would move him. Imagine having him, beckett, paps and lester in our rotation for the next 5+ years possibly. what about Willy Mo and Bucholz for Santana and Nick Gorneault?
  24. and he comes through with a first pitch swinging, single up the middle 2-0 Sox
