i dont know, i kinda like the idea. March Madness is one of the best things in all of a sports and making it longer would be awsome. It would definetely be harder to fill out brackets now. -

yesterday was the best day the Bruins organization has had since June 21, 1997. Now time to sign some FA. They need a 1st line winger and a top offensive defenseman. Id make offers to Redden and Shanahan, as well as Barnaby to come in and give the team some spirit which they lacked all of last year. I think i can honestly say that the Bruins did something positive tonight. IMO, they had a great draft. Kessel was a steal and Yuri Alexandrov, who was supposed to be a first round pick, slipped down to the B's at 37. GREAT DRAFT.

exactly, well atleast this gives us good depth with having the 2 Finish goalies who are goad friends. From what ive been hearing, Rask is a better prospect than Toivenen.

ya its official, WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER YOUNG GOALIE PROSPECT??? Could have gotten more for Raycroft. Is Mike Oconell still working behind the scene?

Well ive read in a couple of places of Kessel being compared to Ovechkin, so i REALLY like that pick for the B's. Hopefully he can be on the roster in October. Quote from Bob MacKenzie (NHL columnist for TSN) "When thinking of Kessel. Think of Pat Lafontaine skating, with a shot like Brett Hull."

Great pick by the Bruins. Kessel was probably the best pure goal scorer in the draft.

Calgary trades Leopold and their 2nd round pick to Colorado for Tanguay EDIT: damnit YS013 beat me to it. That is a good trade for both teams. Hope to see more trades as the draft goes on.

i think Luongo is over rated and that Bertuzzi will have a good year in a place like Florida where hockey isnt their #1 sport. He had a solid year, with 71 points, so i wouldnt say hes falling. I think that Moore incident might have attributed to his slight decline in stats. As for the other parts of the trade, Florida's getting a pretty good starting goalie in return in Auld. Bryan Allens a tough, young defenseman who will be pretty good for Florida. Krajicek is a young offensive defenseman who has good upside going to Vancouver
