I wonder if Manny realizes he's a lot of the reason Ortiz is so good. With Manny protecting Ortiz, he sees a lot of pitches he wouldn't without Manny behind him. That's the key to our whole offense right there, if we unload Manny, we sure as hell better get someone who can protect Ortiz, otherwise we're in a bit of trouble. Anyways, Manny will likely not be traded, there just aren't enough teams that could take on 20 million a year, outside the Yankees, but I don't think they want him. The Mets are out, the Yankees are out, I don't think Arizona has enough to be taken serious. That leaves Manny's old team, Cleveland who he expressed interest in earlier. But, why would Cleveland want him? They're team is young, inexpensive, and loaded with potential, why would they want a player approaching the end of his prime who makes 20 million a year?
