  1. Yeah, one thing I haven't seen him do is locate his pitches that well. His fastball is always missing and is never consistent. His slider was good though, getting him a K.
  2. It's totally different. From our perspective, if someone offered us three million more per year then what we make now, we take that without hesitation. For him, who is already rich, is almost like getting 20 extra dollars from Grandma from your birthday.
  3. Of course, because everyone performs like they did 2 years ago in one game. Seanez I think got lucky pitching in a weak weak division, and as of yet hasn't performed up to par, if anything he should be cut. Schilling Wakefield Wells Beckett Clement DiNardo Riske Papelbon Arroyo Timlin Foulke Tavarez This I dont know how to deal with, all are solid and DiNardo seems to be the best option to send down, but is our only LHP and long-reliever.
  4. Any specifics on how he did? Like K's, BBs, etc? Also, is he scheduled to pitch a ST game?
  5. Johnny really showed how much money talks, even when you already are rich. Also, everyone seems to forget he never told the Sox about the Yanks final offer and just left to go to the Yanks. I hated him for that, but he also promised us that he'd never become a Pinstripe
  6. I'd like to se a few out of Lowell this spring
  7. They might not even want Tony G, and might just start a prospect there, but who knows.
  8. Anyone know when Foulke is going to pitch in a game?
  9. wat he do at his Fenway workout?
  10. damn, seems like we passed ver a ton of high quality guys.
  11. Yeah, with hustle double's like the one he had, he should not only become a fan favorite but also get us some extra RBI chances or runs therefor. Only time I recall Damon bustin his nuts to get the extra base was like in the 11th inning against I'd like to say the Jay's? and he hardly slid home safe and after slammed his helmet off the ground (in triumph).
  12. Yea, Super Troopers was good, but I liked Harold and Kumar waaayyyy better. Anyway, abck on topic, Schill says on Boston.com he feels greta after his solid 4 innings.
  13. why is it a bad thing?
  14. It'll be interesting to see Lowell n Loretta in that game. Isn't Schill ptchin against BC?
  15. Yeah, they didn't really need to make moves and will be a lot stronger in at least 1 more year. They have a solid core of prospects a lot like we do but are a bit more closer to joining the MLB club.
  16. lol, that is a very good smiley 1,000 posts!
  17. Yeah, how do u figure they choose Leiter over otehr pitchers? Is tehre really that much lack of interest? On a different note I woulda sworn Vernon Wells pulled out.
  18. Are you talking 12 mill as in per year or in the 2 final years of his contract, because Clement only makes 6 mill a year
  19. It's not that he's not a good addition, it's just that we don't need him. Yeah he can hit homers and score runs, but this is all coming with the Texas Ranger's, in their field, and in their stacked lineup, I think anyone would do good in a lineup containing Tex and Young. Granted, we have Manny n Papi, but that'd mean he'd have to bat second, which would cost us a lot of runs because he can't move the runner over like Loretta can. Pro's -Can hit the long ball -Scores a lot of runs -Big RBI threat -Would be great hitting in front of manny and Papi Con's -Terrible OBP -Had 92 more K's then BBs -We have no space for him -Would be bad as a #2 hitter -Has 1 year left on his contract -We'd be dealing a big trade chip
  20. Should be interesting to see how he does, though it means nothing to how he will do in the regular season.
  21. If we're going to make any sort of run like that they need to do it this year, while Smith and Hinnant are still here. Next year Dudley will be even better, but we'll have holes to fill at C and PG.
  22. Yea, Nova's really made a big improvement in the last few years, hopefully BC can make a run like theirs or get a team assembled like theres.
  23. Yeah, they have more pics of him at Boston.com, don't reallylike the dreads bute he looks a lot more in shape. Then again it could just be the baggy jersey.
  24. We mighta got that from Luis Soto if he develops and wasn't switched to OF.
