  1. Why was he chosen? I haven't even heard of him before this 1st WBC. I honestly feel that this tournament will fall out in a few more tournaments, I mean not even the best players are participating, and someone very important to their team will get injured and that'll cause static for Selig. They should have it during the summer olympics, if it would be accepted, and have it held right after the all-star game, and then extand the break. I doubt that would work, but the timing isn't right as it is.
  2. Our bullpen will be fine, if it's not Riske and Seanez, it'll be Delcarmen and Hansen, who have been really good in ST.
  3. Yeah, a lot of people who contributed through the years (Yaz, Rice, etc.) got rings, it was more of an 86 year old thing, not a 1 year deal. Hell, even Remy and Orsillo got rings.
  4. Why are we still arguing over this? This is so stupid, so a guy got hit in the head, and the pitcher thinks the other guy coulv'e gotten out of the way, not a big deal. Like I stated earlier, if Duffy was more seriously injured and Schill still said it then it's an issue, but now it's still not. I've been hit in the head with an 85 MPH fastball, of which I couldv'e gotten out of the way, but let me tell yeah, it didn't do much because I WAS WEARING A HELMET, that is the reason for them, and if they wouldn't have players wear them if they didn't protect against 90 mile heat. But whatever, this isn't an issue, it's not on SC, it's not makin headlines, it's nothin big.
  5. Yeah, he done good, he deserves it.
  6. David Givens also went to the Titans, it's on Boston.com
  7. Does it really matter if someone hates something that most other people like? I mean Hehateme is entitled to his own opinion and maybe he prefers UFC over this but thats his choice. I myself really enjoy the NCAA Tourney but I can live with the fact that one person doesn't like it.
  8. I used to think that 'stache wass absolutely horrible, but ya kno in that Sox hot it looks kinda hot.
  9. Yeah, I've always liked Randel El, and he should be a good compliment to their receiving corps.
  10. Yeah, in your case I guess you dont have to hit your head. Try collidin into someone runnin at you a few times and see how you feel.
  11. what I'm talking about is that his delivery isn't as smooth as say Schilling where you know it's a strike right when he throws it, and that it seems like it doesn't have a consistent delivery.
  12. Look it's not like the guy who hit Tony C was murdered, accidents happen, it's not like Schilling throws at people's heads every chance he gets. Also hitters respect Randy so the chances are a bit slimmer that would happen, I think we would all agree he has had a much better career than Schilling. Also, the concussion was mild, not like the Damon one in 03 where Damon maybe lost like 1238109381 brain cells and became what an idiot he is today, granted its still serious and in no way am I saying it's nothing to get hit in the head.
  13. How is this an issue at all, like Duffy is fine, and Schill just gave his honest opinion, no big deal at all, if Duffy was seriosuly hurt however, or suffered something more substantial, then I'd agree Schill should only be saying he sends his hope to the kid. Even so, this only further proves his point that hitters have gotten way too comfortable against him, this is the 2nd guy Schill has hit in the head. When you have respect for a pitcher, when you know he's not afraid to go inside, your reflexes are upped up a notch, when you know the guy isn't going to do damage to your body in anyway, and has good control, then you can focus more on hitting.
  14. Vitale and another guy have BC goin to the Final Four, which would be great to see. I think we should have gotten a 3 seed but our schedule I guess was enough to bring us down, and our only kind of significant out of conference win was at OSU, who will be in the NIT. But they really set us an easy path to the Final Four, or at least the Sweet 16. After that it's either Nova or Wisconsin/Zona, all of whom we have a chance to beat. After that we would most likely face Georgetown/Florida which is far less difficult then UV/UW/UA.
  15. All 700 is saying is the obvious, he's saying Lester isn't ready yet and that not every prospect makes it. It's not like he said he'll a bad prospect, however I do disagree that he has 2-3 years until he reaches the Majors. I mean do you have any idea how much a prsopect can develop?
  16. Well, thank god you are not a scout. I seriously doubt 2 innings would tip the scale of numerous professional praises and success in the MiL's. Also I have seen him pitch in Portland, midseason and his stuff was nasty. Hell he was throwin his LOW-90's heater by every hitter there and his breakin pitches were foolin everyone along with his change-up. Yes, it was AA hitetrs but your judging on stuff, command, and movement. So what if he gives up a few bombs, it's in SPRING TRAINING, it's not like its friggin May or June, and even so, every pitcher has a bad day. However in no way am I saying he's an ace as of now.
  17. Channel 38, I think. I was listening to Ted on WEEI, it was a pretty good game from what I heard, with Tyrese Rice comin up big and SMith havin another monster game. Dudley was also good hittin a key 3 that put us up 12 with like 5 minutes left. It was a more sure victory then the score shows
  18. Well, I guess it's good he did good, it's hard to tell because of the MiL part, but then again, maybe he didn't use his fastball as much and was back to his old-self, either way good sign.
  19. Idk, the NHls really been crap this year, I've even lost interest after intensely watching the Bs the past few seasons, I could give less than two shits about Sid Crosby.
  20. I got MVP/NCAA and was kind of dissapointed, anyone else notice the difference in the swing if you up it to JV? Like I was tryin it out for the first time and its auto set as rookie, so I upped it, thinkin it would be the same controls but it's this wierd thing that only uses the right analog stick. Other than that I only play NCAA March Madness which is great, though there's much to improve.
  21. Howd they beat Nova, terrible news bout Ray, but when I was watchin Pitt couln't do much against em and Nova was drainin Tre's. In other news BC smoked Maryland right from tthe get-go. I onl watched the 1st half it was so easy. They came out like 14-2 and got it to like 30-14 it was ridiculous, Smith was great again, so now we move on and face the Heels.
  22. Yeah, he's a work in progress, not like LeBron where he just came outta high school and did damage. Give him maybe 2 seasons then he'll be at his full potential, and he's already showing signs of what he can do, which is good. I'm also very pleased with Gomes, who we got in ther friggin 2nd round , he's just soo smart and can do soo many things on the offensive boards, and like Big Al has great hands. Only thing is he needs to learn to hit the lay-up on his first try when he gets those big offensive rebounds, because he can tend to miss em.
  23. Wow, WHAT A GAME!, man I was jumpin ouuta my chair. I was worried in the begining when they took GMAC out early but they certianly recovered in the 2nd half. Another thrilling last 2 minutes and I'll really be pullin for them againts Nova/Pitt which would be amazing if they came close to winning.
  24. We got a few Aussie's, and some Asians, we got a ton of diversity I didn't know about.
  25. I'd really like to see the DR face Cuba, Both teams have eben slammin HRs, especially beltre with 3 in 2 games, and of course Big Papi. But that Dominican lineup has really lived up to expectation
