  1. just heard it on WEEI, man this is sad. I remember seeing him at my school when I was younger, he was a great player.
  2. signed with cubs, hence why he's not in the draft
  3. yeah, are we doing it on yahoo? or...
  4. I mean why wouldn't you re-sign Schilling? He wants a reasonable amount of money that some back-end starters get. It wouldn't be long-term. He can help take away the spot-light from Buchholz if we do bring him up, and mentor the young guns. He's still good (ERA under 4, was in top 5 of Ks, walks per nine) and doesn't need to be motivated to try his hardest, it's a no brainer for me.
  5. yeah, i heard about this guy, any scouting reports on him yet?
  6. the original joke itself was bad but this made up for it
  7. yea it is, I meant like all the pump up songs though, like in general. My wind up is left foot left, pause while I raise glove over head and bring back down, then I raise up left leg then push.
  8. When pitching I listen to my Ipod during warm ups (Thunderstruck, Sandman, etc.) and I leave my pant legs down until the game starts and then I put up my right before my left. I scrape the inner rubber 6 times before an inning. Never step on the foul lines. When hitting I use two bats on deck, weigh both, drop the heavier one. I use the same bat until I get an out. I dig in my right foot then my left, hit the upper right corner of the plate then do 3 johnny damon/nomar/manny swing things. When watching the Sox I keep adjusting my seat until they start doing good. At game 5 of the 04 ALCS, me and my friend kept singing sweet Caroline udner our breaths befoe every pitch.
  9. It's been mentioned somewhat, because without a legit closer in place anyone will be given a shot at the closer role.
  10. I'd like in, and goos post headofsoxnation. I really hate when some owners just don't care and don't stay active, then give their players to other teams for no cost. I stay active however, and promise to be a competitive part fot he league.
  11. i just read that article, most of it is not true and sarcastic.
  12. every rotation has question marks, but I agree we have compiled a great rotation which if everything goes right WILL be the best in baseball. But having 4 potential aces in the phenom DiceK, the vet Curt, Mr. Intense Papelbon, and Beckett is a great thing to see going into the season, but who knows how much fo it's potential it will fill.
  13. is it me? or did anyone get feeling like bruce arena was gunna rape some small boy whenever he talked? creepy guy
  14. yeah, ill watch it. No predictions as I don't know much about the Mexican team.
  15. I thought otherwise, because usually Japanese pitchers will just let their catchers call games entirely for them. I fnot, then I think Daisuke will be forced to let Tek call his games until he gets a handle on the hitters.
  16. So wouldn't you agree that Matsuzaka will last longer than Nomo because he doesn't rely on one pitch? By the way, he has anywehere from 5-7 plus (some plus plus) pitches. I agree however with your K rates and pitching for contact statement. I'd ratehr him try and pitch for contact from the get go, as he needs to adjust to the 5 man rotation and such.
  17. you said it, the countdown is on
  18. W/e, the Colts can laugh now, but we get to laugh next month. (27 million cap space, 5 mill for the Colts)
