  1. We need much more animated emoticons. There are some great ones out there, if you've seen the shifty and whistle and dance icons, you know what I mean. Just a suggestion, dont take it the wrong way or anything.
  2. Would you rather have a few yankee fans to add to the discussion or just have Red Sox fans and agree on everything?
  3. Well, at least I know who the most biased poster is on these baords. Congrats.
  4. The Yankees and the Red Sox have about the same number of home games left, the Yankees are something like 45 - 25 at home, not too bad when you consider that horrible April and the inconsistency up till mid June.
  5. Sweet Lou was great last year down teh stretch. What were we, something like 11 - 0 after starting 4 - 4 against them? Then they go ahead and beat Pedro and the Sox in a couple of important September games down the stretch. Let's pretend the DRays are just as good as the A's. I still say we take 2 of three at least due to playing at home.
  6. Exactly....and how can you get on Randy with a n aching back when David Wells himself has a hsitory of back trouble? If he couldnt get himself loose enough in the heat in Miami in 2003, how will he do it in a big playoff game in the cool weather in Boston? Just food for thought, knowing the Yankees' luck he would have no problems.
  7. Jon Lieber wasnt in the playoffs until 2004. Again, if you have that mentality to take on NY, the playoff atmosphere (which is present in every game from now on in our penant race, this is also "pressure" ya know) should not faze you.
  8. Well, my rule of thumb is two grand slams, I dont consider a 6 - 0 game a "blowout" persay, but a 10 - 4 game feels like more of a blowout.. :dunno:
  9. Red Sox have Chicago tomorrow.
  10. If the Red Sox can sweep the DRays at home, why cant the Yankees? :dunno: Angels will be a tough team, watch out for them.
  11. 5 - 1 @ Oakland (although the first three...meh) 4 - 3 @ Boston 2 - 1 @ Chicago Of course.... 1 - 3 @ Anaheim.....damn you Gordon. :thumbdown
  12. I was referring to the HR part.
  13. Bellhorn with the error At least he made up for it earlier.
  14. The fact that he's hitting in the leadoff spot actually doesnt....
  15. eh.... there was a 65% chance he'd get out anyway, look at it like that.
  16. "yeah same here should be a guaranted win for oakland" Watch what you say next time redsoxrules.
  17. I stand corrected
  18. Al Leiter has tons of postseason experience...I dont want him starting in the playoffs..... :thumbdown Jon Lieber didnt have one inning of postseason experience either before last year. That worked out quite well. Bottom line, if you're not afraid to pitch in NY (as Chacon, Wang and Small have shown), and can succeed in that spotlight, you can do it in the playoffs too, since 90% of the game is half mental anyways.
  19. eh. Erik bedard isnt that bad a pitcher.
  20. runner on 3rd with no outs with out the benefit of a hit.
  21. strike em out thrown em out DP
  22. Yeah, they are pretty good actually.
  23. Bedard was good, but not lately. Clement is a grab bag. If the O's start piling on the hits, he wont be around for long. Could be a slugfest, could be a pitchers duel.
