  1. Tim Hudson has been perfect through 5 against the Mets. Edit: Oops. Sorry Tim.
  2. Another questionable call by the umps, this time it goes the Yankees way. 2 - 0 Yankees
  3. A-Rod HR 1 - 0 Yankees
  4. Horrible call by second bas ump; Hill never had control of that ball, he dropped it, Damon was safe, and the Yankees should now have a 1 run lead.
  5. They're making Lilly work, that's good.
  6. Moose looks good so far. He's working quickly and throwing strikes.
  7. Philip Hughes made his third start of the season for the Tampa Yankees; 8 Ks in 6 IP and it lowered his ERA to 0.56 .
  8. It's been pretty funny watching the media trying to put into words Pavano's injury. The term I keep hearing is 'backsides.'
  9. Not good. (I know you want a number, but this is just a much better description) It's 3 - 7.
  10. Oh well, at least Smith got some more major league experience.
  11. Damon's showing off the glove tonight.
  12. Which ones?
  13. Heh... 6 - 4 Jays
  14. If A-Rod doesn't hit that HR, the Yankees are trailing 3 - 2.
  15. Yeah, because giving your team an early lead isn't important at all.
  16. No one's catching that... 4 - 3 Yankees. Doesn't look like it's going to be a good night for pitchers north of the border...
  17. Great catch by Johnny.
  18. A - Rod HR 3 - 0 Yankees. Only two runs on one swing!? How unclutch! Edit: Followed by a Giambi shot; 4 - 0 Yankees.
  19. Triple by the Captain, followed by an RBI single for Sheff... 1 - 0 Yankees
  20. 21. Unit, Yanks get look at revamped Jays New York (6-6) at Toronto (6-6), 7:05 p.m. ET After six games against American League West teams and six more against the Central, the Yankees travel to Toronto to open a two-game set against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, marking their first games within the AL East. New York is riding an eight-year streak as division champions, but the new-look Blue Jays have their sights set on ending the Yankees' reign this season. Pitching Matchup NYY: LHP Randy Johnson (2-1, 2.25 ERA) The Big Unit went 0-2 with a 6.14 ERA in three starts against the Jays last season. TOR: LHP Gustavo Chacin (2-0, 4.63 ERA) Chacin went 0-4 with a 5.32 ERA in four starts against New York in 2005.
  22. Absolutely. Nothing gives a fan the right to throw something on the field or at an athlete.
  23. Damn Mets.
  24. Small pitched a rehab start today; he allowed one infield hit over 4 scoreless innings. He could be back later this month or early May. Link Who do we send down when Small comes back? I imagine Matt Smith, the team probably just wanted him to wet his feet a bit and see how he could do against big league hitters. But then, that begs the question, who gets sent down when/if Pavano comes back? Proctor has been strong so far but I don't think there's any one else the team could send down.
  25. For the record, I tried to add Damon before this announcement.
