  1. Something tells me George was offering him alot more than $10 million.
  2. Where's the idiot who said Clemens signing with the Sox was a 'foregone conclusion?'

  4. :wtf:
  5. If Randy can keep this up today, it'll just be what the doctor ordered for this team. He'll gain some confidence and we can rest the bullpen.
  6. Who said it did? I said he's pitching like Randy Johnson today and he is. No need to be scared just yet.
  7. It's good to see Randy Johnson pitching like Randy Johnson. The control has been pretty good. And he's even brushed a few guys off the plate.
  8. No - no broken after a ball out of the strikezone is hit by Pudge.
  9. Derek Jeter left today's game early. They're saying he jammed his hand on a force play.
  10. With Detroit's bats, I don't think it will continue...but it's great to see it with how Randy's been doing recently.

  12. http://sports.espn.go.com/i/magazine/new/040507_clemens.jpg Steinbrenner is probably already taking out a mortgage on the new stadium for this guy, so find more room for ads in Fenway and offer him, in addition to those revenues, half of Boston (throw in NH to sweeten the deal.)
  13. I think he's talking about Jeter.
  14. Take off the pinstriped glasses!
  15. Again, I'm the homer in this debate? Hilarious! Whatever, feel free to believe Lowell is better and A Rod never comes through in the clutch. Whatever helps you, I guess. :dunno: Especially if you throw out a bunch of those unimportant stats like OBP and RBIs. You guys should have no problem with that.
  16. No, it's debatable if you open your eyes. I know I'm asking for a lot here, but stick with me. A-Rod has scored more runs, batted in more runs, hit more HRs, walked more, stolen more bases, has a better OBP, and so on. I know you'd like to ignore those, but you can't. I'm sorry. Yeah...I'm the homer in this debate. Too funny. When it counts he's a brick? Heh...Schilling might disagree.
  17. You don't need a crystal ball to know A Rod is a better player than Mike Lowell.
  18. And the game isn't for more than A MONTH (see, I can press the shift button too.) The stats aren't going to be the same when the game is played. And, once again, it's debatable whether Lowell's stats are even that much better than A-Rod's right now.
  19. I was unaware we're already halfway through the season and the game was this week. I'm astonished that some of you are acting as if A-Rod playing over Mike Lowell would be some great crime against baseball. Anyways, you're right. When the game rolls around A-Rod will play in it over Lowell because he's A-Rod, the better player.
  20. Oh give me a break. A Rod is a better player than Lowell. And as we get closer to the all star game, his stats will be better too (it's debatable whether they're worse now anyways.) Deal with it.
  21. They can...but they won't.
  22. No, you don't. Game over. Shouldn't have been that close but, oh well, that's baseball.
  23. Nice catch by Cano.
  24. I really think they should just start fining Farnsworth everytime he hangs a slider. It is a crime to throw a pitch like that when your fastball can hit 98.
  25. That's not surprising. He's one of the few (if not only) bright spots for this organization, I can't imagine what kind of pressure is being put on him to pitch well.
