  1. 6 Ks through 3. What's your definition of sharp?
  2. Why would you steal a base up by 6 runs? That's not right.
  3. Andy Phillips continues his streak of hot hitting with the 3 run HR. He's definitely convincing the team he deserves to play every day.
  4. Red Sox fan: "ESPN IS SO BIASED TOWARDS THE YANKEES!" Yankees fan: "ESPN? MORE LIKE NESNPN!!" The whining gets old after awhile.
  5. No Jeter? The thumb is that bad?
  6. Irony.
  7. Sometime this month, I believe. I haven't heard of any set backs.
  8. I definitely think there's a team or two who would have made a trade for Small... a team like Kansas City who's fallen in love with failing veterans. We wouldn't have gotten much in return, obviously, but it would be more than what Small is giving us now.
  9. Like I suggested, Small should have been traded after being resigned. I imagine his value was pretty high back then.
  10. This was a great road trip, if you ask me. It ended on a sour note, but that's okay. We got absolute gems from Moose and Johnson in Detroit. Randy's outing yesterday was even pretty good, which is a great sign. He's building up confidence and looking more and more like Randy Johnson with every outing. And every single guy in those pinstripes is stepping up and contributing. From A-Rod to Phillips, it seems like they all played a role in the victories in these two series. When one guy falls down, two more step up. These are the kind of things that build real teams, the kind of teams that win championships. I mean if you asked me a few months ago where we'd be without Sheffield and Matsui, with Pavano nowhere near the mound, Mariano out for a period of time (however short it was,) Wang closing a game, and Melky an everyday player...I'd have probably cried. And I can not wait until tomorrow. Moose vs. Beckett? Should be amazing.
  11. Jeter bats in the lead run. 4 - 3 Yankees
  12. How did he do that? The one thing that was brought up almost everytime he got on base while the Yankees were in town was that he wasn't a threat to steal because of his knee problems.
  13. How did Maglio steal a base?
  14. Let's see...last time he took steroids he lost about two years of his career, destroyed his body, had to deal with a tumor... He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer but something tells me that he, or many people, would not do something like that again after going through what he did. Now you're just making yourself look foolish. I could have had a reason other than he's a Yankee, but no.... you jump to conclusions to get a quick, cheap laugh (I imagine.) A true epitome of that common saying about what you do when you assume.
  15. Giambi is red hot recently. 3 - 2 Yankees. (OMG! STEROIDZZZZ!!1!one!)
  16. Melky throws out another runner trying to score. Good to see. Edit: That's his 6th assist. Ties him with Ichiro and Hunter for the League lead.
  17. TRADE FARNSWORTH I'm serious. Unlike our former set up man, he doesn't wait until October to choke. This guy should be gone come August, as far as I'm concerned. Find a team who needs a closer, can look past how much he has sucked thus far and take a prospect or decent pitcher from them. Send him back to the National League!
  18. May god help those minor leaguers...they'll need it.
  19. Damn you Pudge.
  20. IBB for Bernie? Heh...
  21. You couldn't do that against the first three hitters Farnsworth?
  22. ...are you kidding me? Here comes a grand slam on a hanging slider. I can see it.
  23. And Small works out of the bases loaded, no outs jam...
