  1. Johnny Damon/Mike Mussina: 2 Marlins: 1
  2. Farnsworth can never make it boring.
  3. Upper deck shot by Johnny! Yankees on top 2 - 1
  4. Moose just recorded his 2500th career strike out.
  5. Looks like it won't be a problem; the teams would probably be lucky to get one game in today (of course, as I say that, they take the tarp off the field.) I would personally lead a coup of the Yankees front office if Hughes is traded, especially for a quick fix in the outfield. On a similar note, there's been alot of scout sightings at Trenton lately; it's home to alot of our top prospects at the moment ( Hughes, Duncan, J.B. Cox, etc.)
  6. Joe might start Villone instead.
  7. This guy isn't going anywhere. I'd advise you just trade him for whatever you can get and be happy.
  8. I'm pretty sure Bob Lorenz said the game was going to be played at 8 tomorrow. He definitely said there were two games tomorrow. Edit: It says there will be a day-night double header tomorrow on the Yankees website.
  9. The Marlins and Yankees will play a double header tomorrow. It's just been announced.
  10. Looks like the Yankees are willing to wait all night to get this game in. Don't blame them with tomorrow's forecast or who they're playing.
  11. He's supposed to play today. (Edit: Nevermind. He's not in the lineup.)
  12. If he continues at this pace the league is going to request he be promoted pretty soon. And, while on the topic of Hughes, today is his 20th birthday. Happy Birthday Ace!
  13. Wright has not shown the ability to pitch more than 5 innings. He always comes in in the 6th and has a total meltdown. He showed signs of tiring in the 5th (all his pitches were elevated) and with that and that part of the order coming up, it just made sense to go to a lefty.
  14. Another good win. Wright went his normal 5 and the pen stepped in and got the job done (4 IP, 0 H.) Melky, in the middle of quite a slump, picked up his second RBI in as many days and made another great catch in the OF. Johnny reached base every time he came to the plate. Cairo got a few hits and scored a few runs. Nice way to end what, a few days ago, looked like a disastrous road trip. Now let's hope the team can cool down the Marlins and keep the Braves freezing back in the Bronx.
  15. Who's Carl Pavano?:dunno:
  16. Remember when the Yankees beat the Red Sox 22 - 1? :harhar:
  17. And the losing streak is over (something I've said too many times this month.) Good game.
  18. Oh god, Howard is up as the winning run.
  19. Bernie with a 5 hit night.
  20. 9 pitch inning. Good.
  21. Psychic? (No, he's just that predictable.)
  22. Yankees extend their lead to 9 - 7. Still no outs.
  23. Bad karma. Thank you.
  24. 2 run triple from Johnny. Yankees come back...again... Let's try to not waste it this time...
