  1. We need a win today (easier said than done against Kazmir.) I don't know what we're going to get out of Wilson tomorrow, so I'd feel alot more comfortable with the series already won.
  2. Did Francona forget the way to the mound or something?
  3. Good game.
  4. They just showed this on YES.
  5. Wright gets out of a men on second and third with no outs situation without giving up a run.
  6. The Yankees haven't had anyone in it since 2003.
  7. I just found out something else that's pretty weird. Through 83 games, the Yankees and the Red Sox have allowed the same amount of runs: 399.
  8. We should ask the Angels for J. Weaver... When they're not looking, we'll take the good one.
  9. I think the Yankees should do that. Put the Thunder out there tomorrow...it's not like they could do much worse. At least it'd be entertaining...
  10. The way the Yankees are playing? I'd say about 82.
  11. Stinnett kills another rally.
  12. That'd be pretty amazing if he hit a 19 run home run from the bench. Cairo singles! The lead run is...never mind...
  13. It's going to happen... ...with two out!
  14. George Steinbrenner needs to give himeslf a nice little birthday present: relive the old days and force a manager to resign (or just give him the boot.) Then find one capable of managing a bullpen; that'd be the gift that just keeps on giving.
  15. What did Proctor do to Joe Torre?
  16. The Cleveland fans are chanting "overrated" with Nick Green at the plate. What the hell?
  17. This looks like the kind of game where we'll see a position player pitch...
  18. Torre needs to get 5 innings from Chacon. I don't care how many pitches he has to throw. You can't get 7/8 innings out of your bullpen twice in a week... Edit: Wait, that would mean not killing the bullpen...of course Torre wouldn't do that. Our genius manager takes out Chacon after he throws less than 60 pitches. Horrible.
  19. The countdown to Chacon's DFA begins....now! Seriously, Cash needs to get a deal done quickly...or find someone from the minors capable of pitching.
  20. Meanwhile, Philip Hughes continues to dominate AA. Last start: 4.2 IP*, 2H, 0R, 0ER, 2BB, 9K Last 5 starts: 37.2IP, 16H, 3R, 3ER, 11BB, 45K, 0.73 ERA *The Yankees have placed him on a 5 inning/ 80 pitches (whichever comes first) per game limit.
  21. Today's a big day. Besides being our nation's and George Steinbrenner's birthday, today marks the 67th anniversary of Lou Gehrig's historic farewell address to baseball. http://artletics.com/images/baseball_prints_gehrig_farewell.jpg
  22. I learned something tonight....the strike zone now extends from the letters on the uniform to the batter's shoes.
  23. Don't worry everyone, the Yankees are doing their part. They fell behind one run in Cleveland and decided to roll over.
  24. Green is having a big game...
  25. Sorry A-Rod. You da man. (A-Rod + Catchers = Bad)
