  1. Another Torre loss in the making.
  2. Joe, bring in a competent relief pitcher next time. Thanks.
  3. Melky can't get the bunt down in two attempts, then doubles when swinging away to give the Yankees the lead.
  4. His fielding.
  5. The YES guys are bashing Bubba Crosby during the commercial break. I don't blame them.
  6. Wait...who's Aaron Guiel?
  7. You know what they say, everything's bigger in Texas.
  8. A-Rod...you don't get on base that much these days; don't waste a rare oppurtunity by getting thrown out again. Thanks.
  9. Shawn Chacon Syndrome (SCS)
  10. Oh, stop. That's not true at all... ...A-Rod's throw would have gone to the backstop.
  11. I just saw the funniest thing. There was an "A-Rod for MVP" sign in the stands.
  12. Did he mean two months?
  13. Because we're booing a player who has been playing at a AAA level, if that, for a long period of time? Give me a break. As I recall, the Yankees didn't win the World Series last year (I think we can all remember how much A-Rod contributed to that with his performance against the Angels.) So last year was a failure. What A-Rod did last season means nothing. The fans aren't there to root for A-Rod, they're there for the team...something A-Rod is hurting right now.
  14. Ridiculous. A-Rod has been playing third for more than two years now; last season he did a very good job over there. The trouble isn't with his position...it's all in his head; that's not going to be fixed by moving him to a position he hasn't played on a regular basis since 2003. And then you have to throw in the troubles that would come with moving Jeter to a position he's never played at before. If you're saying that would help the team, you're crazy. I can see why you people would be supporters of such a move though, you're Red Sox fans that like to see the Yankees lose. And there's no point in Jeter coming to A-Rod's defense; there is no defense for how pathetic he has been this season. The fans and the media aren't going to back off because Jeter says something. A-Rod is the only person who can make that happen.
  15. I imagine A-Rod would spit in Cashman's face (he'd probably miss though) if he asked him to waive the no trade clause for this.
  16. A-Rod needs to be sent to a West Coast team; that's the only place he could play without much pressure. I think it'd be a good fit for him too. San Diego would be a good fit for him....just like New York would be a good fit for Peavy. Just saying...:dunno:
  17. Does he like seeing the Yankees lose? This trade would be amazing. It's probably just another rumor though.
  18. http://www.forumforfree.com/forums/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif
  19. Bubba and Andy Phillips both have no options left. That's why they were on the roster at the start of the season and continue to be. I like Bubba, but I wouldn't mind seeing Thompson take his place.
  20. I will say, it was nice seeing some good defense at 3B yesterday. Oh well, at least we're going to Texas now...we usually do pretty well against them.
  21. Bud Selig has just made a major announcement, I don't know if any one else saw it. For the first time in the history of MLB, a loss will be charged to a position player. That brings A-Rod's record to 0 - 1. No word on what tonight's game will to to his already towering URA (Unearned Run Average.)
  22. I saw that coming.
  23. Tie game. A-Rod gets a (temporary) reprieve.
  24. Pinch-hit Nick Green!
  25. Yeah, I saw that coming as soon as the error was made. If a call doesn't go his way or something else goes against him, he melts down. I remember last year he struck out 5 in like two innings in Cleveland, had one call go against him, and didn't make it out of the 3rd or 4th.
