    And this is why Whitlock needs to stay in the pen. Dude goes on the DL for this long and comes back and shuts the door on the heart of the Yankees lineup to conserve the 1 run lead.

    Verdugo has been quite a disappointment this year. He actually has a negative WAR on the season

    No he isn't. Only in terms of batting AVG. He's also a 0.3 WAR for the season unlike a negative WAR for JBJ

    Oh but he can catch flyballs! Seriously, most NL pitchers would be better at the plate than he his. He should try and bunt for hits, would have a better chance.
