  1. Pass on this. He won't last long both pitching and hitting.
  2. I never understood the whole lefty VS lefty matchups on how they always try to pinch hit or start a heavy right handed lineup. They don't do the same for a right handed pitcher.
  3. I played this sport for many years. You spend more energy training for it than actually playing the game
  4. Resting players is a joke in this sport unless you have a lingering injury. You swing a bat 4-5-times a game and when you're not your standing on the field catching lazy fly balls and routine grounders. Yeah yeah you get the occasional plays where you have to run but big deal. It makes me laugh really especially with the money they make.
  5. That's insane. It's rare in my neck of the woods. So rare that there's a news story if it ever happens.
  6. Not making any excuses. I just like to know the facts before judging someone. I said if allegations are true then yes he's a sicko. Don't f***ing put words in my mouth. What happens if all these allegations becomes incorrect and she is actually of age?
  7. If allegations are true then yes he's a sicko. I'm just pointing out some people will take advantage of these situations. I've also heard rumors that the 14 year year old in question had a 2 year old baby, drives and drinks vodka and then she purged her FB after this. How many 14 year old have you heard of that has a 2 year old baby?
  8. I haven't seen those ones. Mind you this could be other ladies wanting on the action$$
  9. Aaron Hernandez for the Patriots lost his contract. Same idea here except its not murder
  10. Most player contracts and endorsement contracts contain a “morals clause,” which gives the athlete's team, league or company paying the athlete to endorse its products the right to terminate a contract or otherwise punish a player who engages in criminal or unseemly behavior.
  11. I'm pretty sure if he's convicted, that contract will be null and void as he would have breached a clause in the contract. So the Ray's would get off the hook
  12. As Red Sox fans we can't complain too much about this as Fenway has a metal garage door in center field and also chain link fence for the bleacher bar
  13. I'm not sure I would say he can flat out hit. Did you know he actually leads MLB in infield hits? And he's not even that fast. Some of those the scoring was generous on him and the others is from his chop swing that he does. You think that's going to be sustained for the next 4 years as he gets older and slower?
  14. So even if he in fact didn't know she was under aged he's f***ed either way? I don't know how the law works outside of Canada
  15. That's crazy. And he's married too! Why on earth did he not think this would backfire on him? He is indeed an idiot.
  16. He's had a lot of hits on the chop swings that he does (those wont keep up year by year). I haven't been impressed for the amount they signed him for. He's tied for 5th on WAR with Duval who has played 48 games less. He's also 30 so if anything he will get worse as his contract ages.
  17. Pitching coaches and hitting coaches are overatted. Very few in the game probably know what they are doing. A player is who he is. If hitting coaches and pitching coaches were that useful, every team would all be hitting well and pitching well. You're either born to play or you're not. Plain and simple. You can give me the best hitting coach in the game and I would have probably never made the MLB
  18. The good bullpen arms probably not available tonight so this should be interesting
  19. That was a sick play from Baez
  20. Sales velo looks good early on. 95-96
  21. Even the announcers who are pro Red Sox and are not subjective to any other teams and solely think everything should be called in favor of the Red Sox said at the end it look like it was the correct call and said Mcguire needed to turn right at the end before crossing 1st base
  22. According to MLB rules When running the last half of the way to first base while the ball is being fielded in the vicinity of first, a baserunner must stay within the three-foot runner's lane to the right of the foul line unless they are avoiding a player fielding a batted ball. If the umpire determines that the baserunner has interfered with the player taking the throw at first base by running to the left of the foul line or to the right of the runner's lane, the baserunner can be called for interference. Mcguire was on the left side running through first base. He needed to be in the RIGHT side. Therefor correct call.
