    If Ortiz hits 500HR, I'd say he's a HOF no doubt. DH or not, there's very few players with 500 HR, over 1500 RBI and not to mention his 3WS rings

    If they would have fired Lester 100M at spring training he would have took it. It never fails, most players with a contract expiring have career years. So now you have to pay Lester about 140M if not more because of a career year that he's most likely never going to touch or come close to it again. FFS

    Because XB is not a SS. I haven't seen ANY flashes of him that he can be good on defense at SS.

    Pedroia's worst season OPS wise is 787. I'll take that every year with his defense.

    What's with the hate on Pedroia? Jesus christ , this is the first season he's not doing so well and he could still turn it around before the season is over. Even the greats have bad years.

    The Yankee's don't really have a chance this year so I don't understand why their not doing the surgery on him. If this doesn't work and needs surgery he won't be able to pitch at all next year.

    FYI Pedroia this year 765 OPS as a leadoff @ 127 AB 649 OPS batting second @ 112 AB 792 OPS batting Third @ 140 AB Pedroia has close to 5000 PA. So yeah, 481 is a small reflection of that. So you were saying.....

    LOL seriously? Talk about small sample size. If Pedey was hitting leadoff every game for a full year his numbers would be the same as usual.

    LOL Farrel is not destroying XB. It's not Farrel's fault that XB isn't that great on defense at SS and had to be moved at third. And if he gets affected by where he is in the batting lineup then he shouldn't be at the MLB level. He should hit wherever he is.
