  1. He will probably get one more year and if it's the same result as this year then he's a goner. He hasn't really done much to be honest. People talk about 2021 being close to the world series. The funny thing is a lot of those players were still from DD. He hasn't much since. He's missed on his long term signings. Story, Yoshida and yes I'm adding Devers in there as they will probably looking to unload him in a few years. I'll give him credit for Chris Martin and Turner. I don't like the Jansen signing simply because he did 2 year. 1 would have been ideal and then get Hader in the off season. Jansen can't pitch back to back games. His metrics are garbage this year on consecutive games. Imagine getting in the playoffs with a closer who's ineffective in back to back games. And who can forget the Bradley debacle, kike hernandez and Kluber. He's had misses than hits.
  2. One thing is certain though, you have better chance winning games with your best players than resting them.
  3. And if you do that and miss the playoffs by 1 game that's acceptable? You play your best players
  4. Sitting him could have resulted the same injury. It's irrelevant players get injured regardless sitting games or playing. There's no proof he got injured due to playing everyday.
  5. That can happen anytime. Even with resting players.
  6. Can the Red Sox follow the Braves approach for next year and don't sit players out? Acuna, Olson have not missed one game. Austin Riley only 2 games. Their production is certainly not affected by playing every day.
  7. Couldn't of happen to a better guy.
  8. Hard contact? He chops the ball over half the time. He's in the bottom percentile of the league when it comes to barrels and hard hit rate
  9. James Paxton on the DL. Too bad they didn't unload him at the trading deadline. Probably could have gotten a decent return at the time.
  10. I wonder if Cora still thinks they have a shot at the playoffs like he said 2 days ago 🤔 At this point can they even finish at 500 is the question.
  11. Another wonderful pickup by bloom on display tonight. Atta boy Llovera
  12. I would take neither. Nimmo is the better player and it's not close but I don't like that contract.
  13. Henderson boots an inning ending DP
  14. I hear some booo birds
  15. I'd like them to get Josh Hader this off season
  16. f*** I miss the old Chris Sale.
  17. As much as he's been a great addition it would be a gamble to retain him. I highly doubt he hits like this again next year. He's going to be 40. It's just a matter of time
  18. Houck along with Whitlock should have stayed in the bullpen. Houck is great until about 4-5 innings and then turns into a pumpkin. We need starters that can last 6-7 innings
  19. Yeah because he's worth it. The dude is a beast.
  20. Don't worry he won't, he will go dumpster diving and find someone on a cheap deal and hope to find a diamond in the rough
  21. Freddie is A LOT better than Devers. It's not even a comparison. Oh he's also a lot cheaper.
  22. Yeah that made me laugh. He also says they are very much still in this race for the playoffs. I'd like to know what he's smoking.
  23. Defense playing hot potato
  24. Lots of holes in the bats tonight!
  25. Another start where the starter can't make it 5. The Sox are the second worst team in the league for their starters to go 5 innings. This rotation needs serious work next year
