  1. Schilling is not going to the bullpen, that is rediculous the guy is a horse. HE WAS INJURED LAST YEAR. He could not do anything in the offseason, I really dont know why its that hard to Comprehend.
  2. I figured i would start this thread, for more talk on the ever closer season. I think it will go like this Sox Yanks Jays O's D-rays I really think the sox pitching staff is what will carry them. The offense will still be good, and the defense is much imporved, with the likes of Crisp, Gonzo and Lowell, the big question mark is Foulke of course. The yankees offense will be great, but the starting pitching will be a big question The Jays have to show me then can compete for a full-season before i feel they are a huge threat to the sox and yanks D-rays- A young team that maybe good in 07 or 08, they need more pitching for the future O's-I dont know where they are going really
  3. I have to ask you, what do you think of your teams pitching staff. To me i see it as a senior citizen club that is going to be injury plauged once again. I think Johnson will be as good as last season, maybe a little better but after that your pitching staff is not close to the Red Sox, or the White Sox for that matter

  6. I think your wrong, but time will tell. I cant wait for opening day so all the arguments we have all had over this offseason can finally start getting resolved
  7. Oh sorry misinterpetation, howeverYour basing your opinons on one year, I very injury plauged year at that. He could not push off at all last year which made him inconsistent and ineffective. I think its possible he could be as good or better than he was in 2004, because in that year he wasnt healthy after mid-may and still went 21-6.
  8. Have you watched any Games this spring, Schilling can push off and has been throwing hard. To say that Schilling doesnt have stuff your a moron, seriously last season Schill was pitching on one leg, its a non-issue now, to say that Curt Schilling is only going to a 500 pitcher is idiotic. I predict that Schilling has a better year than the Unit this year.
  9. I totally agree, Beckett brings that kickass attuidtude back to the Red Sox, he isnt afraid of anything and is going to be fun to watch
  10. This isnt that suprizing, however i think he will struggle this year but eventually be very good
  11. Any predictions how long it will take Francona to pull the plug on Wells if he struggles during the begining of the season? I say if the first 3 starts he gets racked and Papelbon is promoted to the rotation where he belongs
  12. Beckett looked very good today. What a fastball he has, i cant wait to watch him work this season, its going to be fun
  13. I cant wait until monday its going to be so long from now. Even though the game doesnt start until 2:00 and i could probally make it home from school on time, im going to skip, just a little tradition of mine on opening day!
  14. This is unfortunate, however baseball is a business, Thanks Tony for your great effort night in and night out, it will not be forgoten!
  15. Josh Beckett is pitching today on Nesn right? I havent heard much about him this spring, does anybody know how he has been throwing, Velocity and Control wise
  16. Manny Delcarmen has really impressed me every time i have watched, even more so then Hasnen actually, I think between the two Delcarmen has a better shot of going north than Hansen.
  17. I cant even wait, im so much more excited this season then last, i think its because so many new faces plus im hungry to win another W.S!!!
  18. If Foulke is back to form, then the sox will have one of the best bullpens in the leauge
  19. Snow isnt the starter Youk is. Every time there has been the normal lineup out there Youk has been a part of it
  20. The sox should cut Lowell and move Youk back to third
  21. To me Hansen and Delcarmen have both impressed me greatly, i saw cut Riske and Seanez and bring the two young guns up to Boston with them. This would be a pretty solid Bullpen Hansen Delcarmen Papelbon-I think he should start, but probally wont to start the season Taverez Timlin Foulke
  22. Yes, but where is he going to get ab's in this lineup. With Manny Coco and Nixon, he will likely only start agianst lefties, and Spell Manny once in a while. So I see 2007 as his potential breakout year, not 2006.
  23. I was encouraged by Schills outing today, he had great control in the first 3 innings, and sorta lost it in the 4th, but all in all I like what i saw for spring training. He hit between 90-94 on the radar gun. Most of his splitters had great dive on them, which was not the case at all last year.
