  1. Nomar has to be kicking himself for not signing the 4 year 60 million dollar deal prior to the 03 season. Since that time he has had one good year, (03) If he had signed that deal things might have turned out different for him. I really feel for the guy, he was my favorite player from 97-04.
  2. What a great start by Schilling, to me thats the best he has looked since Game 6. The Velocity was good the control was good, threw 115+ pitches, this is so encouriging
  3. Wow this is a little surprizing, I thought he was done
  4. Damn 1 run there, really should have been more, but we are still up 6-2
  5. It must be opening day. Tito basing has begun, the two seasons go hand in hand
  6. Allright Trot, bases juiced for the fist time this year! Lets go Tek
  7. Well i would have to agree with you, but not for Damon money though:D
  8. Ortiz is so amazing, 6-2 sox!!!
  9. Lets Cut him some slack I guess, however he better lets hope it never happens agian
  10. Wow, that was a-la Renteria
  11. I say Papelbon 7th, Timlin 8th and Foulke 9th today
  12. 6 innings 5 hits 2 runs 4 ks 1 walk, aint to bad for the first outing. You could tell he got tired towards the end
  13. s*** Schilling he could have had 6 Shutout innings,
  14. Schill appears to be getting a little tired, id say this is it for him today
  15. Wow, what a catch by Manny, The first well hit ball of Schilling today
  16. I really hate it Nesn isnt showing Velocity
  17. Great Start for Schilling, looked like good velocity
  18. Wow, what a long offseason, this is so frigging sweet i love opening day! GO SCHILL, GO SOX!
  19. It doesnt scare me at all. Keith Foulkes ERA in spring training of 04- 15.34. I thought he actually looked decent today he had nice Zip on the fastball and threw a couple good change ups. The first double off him was a bloop, nothing was hit to hard. I will be scared if he lets up runs in his first apperance, Spring training means nothing to closers, you cant simulate bottom of the ninth 1 run lead at yankee stadium, when the adreniline is going, like it will be Monday or Tuesday in Texas is when we will beable to gage where Foulkie is at.
  20. Explain how we are not as good as last year, please we have a better pitching staff and defense, and we still have Manny and Ortiz, plus i think Crisp is going to be a star. The only improvments the Yanks have made is Damon, but the pitching is a huge question mark there.
  21. Schilling is not going to the bullpen, that is rediculous the guy is a horse. HE WAS INJURED LAST YEAR. He could not do anything in the offseason, I really dont know why its that hard to Comprehend.
  22. I figured i would start this thread, for more talk on the ever closer season. I think it will go like this Sox Yanks Jays O's D-rays I really think the sox pitching staff is what will carry them. The offense will still be good, and the defense is much imporved, with the likes of Crisp, Gonzo and Lowell, the big question mark is Foulke of course. The yankees offense will be great, but the starting pitching will be a big question The Jays have to show me then can compete for a full-season before i feel they are a huge threat to the sox and yanks D-rays- A young team that maybe good in 07 or 08, they need more pitching for the future O's-I dont know where they are going really
  23. I have to ask you, what do you think of your teams pitching staff. To me i see it as a senior citizen club that is going to be injury plauged once again. I think Johnson will be as good as last season, maybe a little better but after that your pitching staff is not close to the Red Sox, or the White Sox for that matter
