    We are a better team with Ramirez for the stretch run. I think it's ridiculous to think that this team should be blown up as other have suggested. We lost 4-5, its a long season it happens. The fact remains that this team is still one of the best in baseball and we still have a legit shot at winning a world series. We have seen these antics before from Manny, and if he doesn't get traded I would put money on this whole situation blowing over and everyone being ok. That being said if he is traded today, it sucks that he would have to leave on these terms. He has been one of the best Red Sox players of all time and lead us to two world series championships. Seriously you can all talk about how you want Manny off this team, but have you ever stopped to think how much the lineup is going to be different without him? Just the threat of a player of Manny's calibur makes a pitcher cringe.

    Manny isnt going anywhere, I think last night should remind how much having Manny/Ortiz is so worth all the headaches he brings off the field. Serioulsy, I think everyone is just going to get over this like 2005 and move on. Unless they can get an unbelieavable deal, but with the seemingly little intrest, I dont see that happening. Look we all know Manny is going to have episodes, but we have put up with it for 7 and half years, whats another two months? This team can not improve by losing Manny, period. Don't bring up team chemistry ********, this offense has a chance to to be amazing for the next two months.

    Juan Uribe sucks. His only value is pretty good power for a SS. But he probably wouldnt beable to demonstrate that power coming off the bench.

    Our schedule is soo much easier in the second half. Also, our lineup with Ortiz in it, has the potential to be the best in the league. The starting staff is as talented and deep as any staff in major league baseball. The only concern is middle relief, but I think Materson will help and I wont count out a deadline deal to help with that.

    Paps, downright afwul? Did you watch the same game I did. I dont think giving up a bloop single and then striking out 2 is downright awful. Seriously. Edit- Rivera looked worse than Papelbon in this game.

    Touche'. Actually out of all the Yankees, I respect Rivera the most, I was just caught up in the moment of all the Papelbon hating. I do hate the Yankees, for obvious reasons but it comes no where near my obsession with Red Sox.

    Dude, obviously I want the AL to win. I think you meant to say that I hate the Yankees more than I like the Red Sox. Do you see me posting in Yankee gamethreads after Yankee losses? Rarely. I would like us to win at Fenway this year though.
