    yea, there was that one game earlier this year, I believe against the Blue Jays where I recall two Sox being gunned down at home either in the same inning or consecutive innings. and the fact that both were out by a mile made it pretty brutal

    sure, there have been missed opportunities but run support has definitely not been a problem for the sox this year

    Yea, I'm not expecting too much luxury. I just wanna see a great baseball game on a nice Sunday afternoon surrounded by the Fenway Faithful and have a couple of memories that will stick with me forever. I really wanna enjoy the charm of Fenway cause the only other places I've seen a live major league game is SkyDome and the Olympic Stadium here in Montreal which has about as much charm as a parking garage

    provided Burnett does come to Boston and Schilling makes it back to the rotation, how sweet would Schilling-Clement-Burnett-Wells-Wakefield look heading into the stretch and the playoffs?

    I like that lineup but I'd switch Youk with Edgar. I've really grown to love the top of the order

    We definitely need this game. I can live with a split and the pitching matchup is definitely in our favor. Wake's knuckleball has been dancing lately

    I'm off to Fenway to see the Sept. 4th game against the Orioles and I'm crapping in my pants in anticipation. It'll be my first time at Fenway and my first time in Boston. Unfortunately, I'll only be arriving about Saturday at noon and leaving Sunday night after the game. Anyone have any tips on what I can do to maximize my experience?

    Trot Nixon is a hugely underrated player. He's fantastic with the bat and he's probably been the Sox best fielder this season. He should be a mainstay in the lineup, especially when he's swinging a hot bat

    it's really too bad for Bellhorn cause I've always been an optimist with him. I think he's very underrated defensively and he's made some big hits. But it's really hard to ignore those strikeouts when his average is that low

    but then where do you put Renteria? I don't think Francona should mess with the batting order just to make Bellhorn comfortable. Maybe Youk can learn to play second and Bellhorn can become a reserve

    NY Daily News is reporting that an MLB aide has said Burnett will be a member of the Red Sox within a week. If it is indeed Arroyo that we give up, it would be a tough sacrifice but it makes the rotation look a lot better

    Hey everyone, I'm from Montreal and have been a Sox fan ever since Pedro left us to sign with you guys. Since then, I've fallen in love with the team and even though Pedro left, my heart has stayed with the Sox. I've been looking for a place to chat with Sox fans rather than baseball fans to avoid the persecution I get from all the haters
