  1. at this point, yes. considering the lack of respect he's shown the team I love this season, it makes me sick to my stomach to continue to see him in the uniform
  2. get this prick the f*** out of town as soon as possible
  3. cause when Joba was put in the rotation, the big question was what the Yanks would do for a bridge to Rivera. Farnsworth stepped up and became that bridge and now they got rid of him. I'm sure you'll come up with a list of guys who you think will do better than Farnsworth but the fact is, for the last several weeks, primary setup duties have gone to Farnsworth.
  4. good, get his ass out of town ASAP
  5. wow, they gave up Farnsworth?! what a stupid deal
  6. geez, theyll go out and get anybody
  7. this entire topic is moot since ownership continues to renovate Fenway, clearly erasing any chance a new stadium will be built anytime soon
  8. and by peace, he means he wants to go to a place where he can shove down travelling secretaries, fake injuries and slap teammates without the media and fans knowing or caring
  9. I'm sure Boras told Manny to be enough of a pain in the ass so that the Sox will let him go but not enough of a pain in the ass where it will cost him a ton of cash on the open market. I think he might have f***ed himself a bit there
  10. aside from the bullpen, which is showing signs of coming around, I see no weakness on this team unless you count the cleanup hitter's volatile attitude as being a weakness
  11. Ortiz going yahd here
  12. thank god for Dutty
  13. depends how marginal you think the upgrade is
  14. no hitter going. NO HITTER GOING. JINX JINX JINX JINX
  15. wow, the Angels are gonna be tough to beat
  16. I've already theorized his performance this year as being a result of learning NL pitchers (see: J.D. Drew) also, why is money being brought up as an issue? the Sox are already spending $10 mil less on payroll this year than they did last and in the end, are any of you John Henry's financial adviser?
  17. but that's only because Pedroia, Youkilis, Manny, Lowell, Drew, Youkilis have all had good to great seasons
  18. Last year, Pedroia had a major slump as a rookie. Hell, this year, he had a major slump. When I say Jacoby Ellsbury shouldn't be counted out because he's in a slump, the comparison holds water Hell, Ellsbury has only dipped below .260 for 1 game this season, it's absolutely ludicrous to suggest his status and value as a long-term solution at centerfield should be doubted
  19. before I reply, I just wanna be sure of what =/= means
  20. he batted .296 with a .357 OBP with 18 HRs and 81 RBI in 133 games for Baltimore last year, a year in which you could make a great case that his heart wasn't totally in it aside from the obvious defensive upgrade he is over Lugo, to me he remains a substantially better bat as well but in the end, I don't see them taking his contract anyway while still holding onto Lugo
  21. So is Camden Yards, what's your point?
  22. why the hell would we want Andruw Jones?
  23. Seriously, are you that new to baseball that you're completely clueless to the fact that not all rookies come into the majors and immediately realize their potential? I'm not ready to write off Hughes and Kennedy and I see absolutely no reason to write off Ellsbury and Buchholz
  24. how so? because he's a rookie who is going through a slump like a vast majority of rookies do? do you need to be reminded how abysmal Dustin Pedroia was before he became one of the best hitters in the AL? he's still batting around .265 and remains one of, if not the most dangerous base-runner in baseball not to mention his above-average defensive ability
  25. I'd probably chalk that up to the fact that he moved to the NL after his entire career in the AL so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt there.
