The Yankees have been stronger on paper arguably every year this decade and have won jack s*** and if A-Rod ended up here, Soriano could conceivably still be a Yankee I know this is a thread based on hypotheticals but its hard to get past the reality of the Sox being baseball's most successful franchise since the 2003 off-season

The Jays just had Ricky Romero land on the DL, a guy who started well and was only in there because of the injuries to their starting pitching. I literally can't name anyone in their rotation off the top of my head besides Halladay and David Purcey. Plus BJ Ryan isn't what he used to be, I just don't see how they stay competitive for much longer
