    The only thing I think they should do to shorten games is limit the amount of times the catcher can visit the pitcher on the mound per inning. Besides that, what are you gonna do? Tell two teams who pride themselves on working the count and wearing out pitchers to stop doing that? f*** Joe West. He's probably just mad cause he keeps missing his reservation at Sizzler.

    I think if the doubts are raised by anything that happened prior to the previous 2 games, then whoever is raising those doubts should be of the opinion that the FO should've dumped Ortiz in the off-season or at the very least started him on the bench and Lowell at DH

    Beckett and Lester both s*** the bed to start the season last year and both of their starts were iffy at best. Where's the freakout for them?

    Like it or not, the way this one guy feels affects the overall performance of the team. The fact that people are freaking out after 8 ABs is one of the most ridiculous things I've seen in a long time.

    That's all well and good but the Ortiz of today is a long ways away from the Ortiz of a few years ago when the majority of those ABs took place.
