  5. ya i have no problem giving up shoppach, they want a lefthanded setup guy, embree can probaly have sucess in the NL in that park and im fine giving up two prospects as long as both are not our top 6 prospects
  6. they need to find someone who can bat 5th and play either 1st or RF, not saying it has to be young but someone. trots likely out till september atleast.
  7. i think they need to add embree or maybe a young OF (moss) to get him. they need somone if clements going to be out awhile
  8. he would like it with the mets. hed be with his friend pedro agian.
  9. with nixon going down, they could use young who also plays RF
  10. if the marlins want to trade him, it would have to be to the redsox, since the white sox are close to a deal with tampa bay which they send marte to TB.
  11. it looks like nixon going to be out for a long time, clement no idea
  12. interesting, he and kazmir just love starting stuff with the sox

  18. Clement carried off on stretcher after being hit in head by line drive July 26, 2005 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Matt Clement was hit in the right side of the head by Carl Crawford's line drive Tuesday night and carried from the field on a stretcher. Clement remained on the ground and barely moved for about five minutes before he was lifted onto a stretcher and immobilized with a neck brace. Replays showed the force of Crawford's liner knocked the All-Star pitcher completely off his feet. The ball caromed off the back of Clement's head, just behind his right ear, into short left field for an RBI single. Concerned teammates gathered around the fallen pitcher as medical personnel attended to him on the mound. The crowd cheered as he was carried off, but his arms remained strapped across his chest
  19. true, you cant call a game because of it, but i just think that kinda stunned everyone on the team
  20. theres no way the sox are winning this game, theyr worried about matt clement and they should be
  21. no one would ever hit someone in the head on purpose with a line drive. no one has good enough bat control to do it anyway.
  22. i know, matt never complained, wasnt a distraction, he was just a quiet guy who did his job. and did it quite well
  23. ino if was in the dugout id want to kill that guy right now
