Yahoo is screwed up. It won't let me select on-line draft and draft date. Also won't let me pay for league. The site is probably being bombed. -

Just to make a minor clarification, you aren't buying season tickets. You are buying a season's worth of tickets. Usually, you're screwed for the play-offs ( unless you got them from a close friend or family member ). The next year, the renewal will go to the original season ticket holder. Another minor point is that any games that are cancelled ( and not played ) are refunded to season ticket account, not to the ticket holder.

Probably me, unless someone wants the job. I'll wait until early to mid August. Edit: PS, ORS I'm not trying to give you grief, just venting my frustration.

MTBKR, I figured it was be something like that as you have been a reliable player in past leagues. I hope things work out in your new career choice. My point is that this is supposed to be a competitive fun league. Fun doesn't mean drop in whenever you feel like. We have 5-6 members that have vanished for 3 weeks to 3 months at a time. Is there an effect on other teams ? Absolutely, their opponents are playing a phantom team. One that is usually riddled with starting players on the DL or NA, with bench players that never play. So the teams that get to play the phantoms pad their record. Lo and behold the phantom appears and dumps his D'L's, NA's, and other non-performers and replaces them from the FA pool. The FA pool becomes further depleted and additional talent is locked up. I don't konw if sending a PM would have much of an effect. Freezing might help. Better member selection would help, even if it meant a smaller league.

This league is a f***ing joke. Members that don't manage their team for a month or two at a time should not be allowed to pop in and dump and acquire players then disappear again. their rosters should have been frozen. ORS you should know better.

I really like Masterson and what he's accomplished to this point. However, has anyone notices how mightily he's struggled against lefties ? It's almost too painful to watch. Anybody have some stats on this ? -
