  1. Draft time isn't a problem, for my son or me. My son Pete is Big Pappi's CC and I'm the Cape Crusaders.
  2. My son and I are signed up.
  3. PM Yeszir, he'll turn it on.
  4. Period......... Score.......... Winner..............Prize 1st Quarter .... 3-0........... a700hitter........... $ 50 Half ............... 3-7........... SOTK's................$ 100 3rd Quarter .....3-7........... SOTK's ...............$ 50 Final .............17-14.......... The Kilo .............$ 200 Winners please PM me with your name and address so that I may send your prize.
  5. The winner of the first quarter is a700hitter. Sorry SOTK's, so close yet so far, what a difference 4 seconds makes.
  6. Yes that is correct. The program that I'm using highlights the current winning coordinate, as the quarters go by each winners is aslo highlighted, if I activate the projection function, it will flash the winners if the next score is a field goal or touchdown. Sorry I misunderstood your original question.
  7. Just a little reminder about numbers. The obvious numbers : 0-0, 3-0, 7-0, 0-3, 0-6, 0-7, 3-3, 6-3, 9-3, etc. people seem to think of as the "good numbers". This may be true for the 1st or the half. However, as there are multiple scores the other number combinations come in to play. Say you have 5-8, that would mean a score of 35-28 is a winner. Same would be true for 2-5, a score of 42-35 would be a winner. Also as the game gets later, there's also the possibility of a team going for a 2 point conversation. Making it or missing changes the number combinations. Basically, the numbers tend to even out. Early favors the 0, 3 & 6 mutiples, later in the game the other combinations come in to play. Also, the largest prize is at the end. So in other words, the good numbers are the ones that win. Good luck everyone !
  8. It rounds out the grid. Impact for the player who has it. If there's no scoring 1st, half, etc they. Ten zip they win. Maybe, I'm not understanding the question.

  10. Which QB has the most passing yards in one Super Bowl ? -- How many yards ? -- Which Super Bowl was it ?
  11. OK, I was curious and had to look it up. That well known back-up QB Gale Gilbert. Bills.................. XXV-XXVIII Chargers...........XXIX All losers.
  12. Charles Haley 2 49ers 3 Dallas
  13. Okay, I've got no problem with that.
  14. I hope that your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek. The Giants a "great team", hmm, I don't think so. Giants may be good, the Patriots are great. Giants : Regular Season Record : 10-6 - Played 6 games against teams with a winning record, they were 1-5. - Road record 7-1, but only 2 teams had a winning record. The other six had a record of 34-62. - Scored 373 but gave up 351 points. Play-offs : -Beat Tampa 24-14, Tampa was 9-7 in a weak division that went 18-30. -Beat Dallas 21-17. Romo had a terrible game. -Beat Green Bay 23-20. Farve reverted back to the gunslinger, unfortunately he was firing blanks. New England Patriots : Regular Season Record : 16-0 -Were 6-0 against reams with a winning record. -Were 5-0 against play-ff teams. -Scored 589, gave up 274 points.
  15. Well its that time of year again, the Super Bowl is almost upon us. Most of us here are either not fortunate enough or we're smart enough not to spend the outrageous money to attend Super Bowl XLII. Since Talksox's beginning there has always been a Super Bowl Grid, with varied results. The first year, nobody joined, I believe less than 10 ( and that included the Mods and Yeszir ). The next year was the BH fiasco, people were in, then banned, then back in again. To accommodate everyone there were two grids. The next year was limited to a few of my friends, family, and those that participated in the weekly NFL picks contest. This year we had a problem getting 15 participants on a consistent basis. I found this rather disheartening since we were able to do it the year before with less members. Maybe its me, but I would think that out of 3,000 members, there must be at least 15 that are in HS or college that could use a few extra bucks with little time and no risk. Evidently, I was wrong. It's amazing that the same was true for the give-aways in prior years, when one considers the respondents compared to the membership numbers. This year I decided to follow the same format as last year. Meaning that after some friends and family selected their picks, I randomly ( by computer program ) selected picks for everyone else on the list. The requirement to make the list was a combination of, participating in the Weekly Picks contest this year, Fantasy Football, last years big winner, and posting activity. The following is the 25 members ( each gets 4 picks ). Remember, some are my friends and family ( so you may not recognize the names ), seeing as its my money, I have this option. Player : 4 Out of 7 JP The EMT EtepU Hyrax SFOC Saxman Plunk It Down Ronnie Bee Good O_Suzie Q Out To Sea One Red Seat SOTK's See Red Mtbykr Yanks Hater 213 Stocker 323 Redsoxrules a700Hitter TheKilo SoxFan #1 HeadofSoxNation Coco's Disciples ARod2212 Crespo Blows Jacksonianmarch That should total 25 entrants. Each will receive 4 squares ( picks ). There will be cash prizes for : 1st Quarter Halftime 3rd Quarter The Final Score I will announce these latter next week. On Friday or Saturday I'll use the random generator to draw the numbers for the headers. Usually Yeszir is kind enough to donate some additional prizes : custom user titles, gift certificates, etc. Yeszir, since your in France, how about some good wine ? Below is a "Thumb nail" of the grid. To view it larger just right click on it and select new window, then click on the enlarge in the lower right hand corner ( assuming that you are using Explorer Browser ).
