  1. Hang in there man, it'll be worth it !!
  2. I still say Harrison could have run the last one in a the end of the game ( cost me $ 500 in a pool ). Still love him anyway.
  3. He most definately did !!!
  4. Hey, I'm okay, I still have some enamal left on most of my teeth !
  5. Yup, they were the bridesmaid, underdog, and likeable ( with the exception of one big mouth minor receiver ( not owens ).
  6. Your 100 % right about density / humidity. But help me out, I recall reading somewhere that Tim pitches better in domed stadiums, why would that be ?
  7. I didn't cite the example. I agree that its a bad example in that football is more of a team sport.
  8. Good point, but I have to wonder, how much was Bill B's defensive scheme and how much was rookie nerves ( probably a combination of both ) Roethlisberger did play pretty good till then.
  9. Please tell me Rowand isn't playing, ouch ! Ps, nice stats as usual, much appreciated.
  10. Have a good time, you lucky son of a gun ! Where are you going to be sitting ?
  11. Hey, I'm bored. Sorry couldn't help myself.
  12. I'd love to have either, Huff would most certainly be a major upgrade over Kevin Millar ( filling the potential duel roll ) and Konerko swings a great bat, hits in the clutch, and plays a pretty good 1st base.
  13. Well, to a point. I don't think that he faced 35,000 intense fans or a blitz of media coverage while he was in college. That's turning it a few notches.
  14. Yea, he looked really relaxed and comfortable. I thought it would have been great if he whipped out an oxygen bottle and said " I got to take a break for a minute, I'm getting a little tired of all this ".
  15. All plausible, but wow, that's alot to put on a kid right out of college.
  16. I love Tek, but I hesitate to put him in the best ever catagory ( Bench, Fisk, etc. ). Renteria did get a good contract ( as well as he should ), but I'm sure there were other considerations. Like going to a team that could win it all, the Red Sox fans, etc.
  17. I agree. At this point, we're pretty much committed to either ( or both ) Schilling and Foulke. The kids may certaining help some, but I can't see asking and expecting any of them to step up to majors and be a lights out closer in a play-off race. That's way to much pressure to put on them.
  18. I'd say Davey's days are numbered.
  19. I hate seeing players get, especially in a meaningless preseason game.
  20. What arrogance ? Just stating the facts.
  21. Excuse me, what have you been watching ? Like the Red Sox haven't had any injuries ? Schilling, Wells, Foulke, Nixon, etc. Farm system to bring up, not brought up. Wang is pitching how well on DL ? Cano, he's going to carry the team ? Oh, BTW how's on center fielder. You are the one that strongly implied that it's not over because we have a few games left with the Yanks. Personally, I think that's great, it'll give a chance to rest some of our starters.
  22. Now that's funny ( coming from a Yankee's fan ). But on the other hand, you should know from PAST experience about being cocky.Hey, you have squat for starting pitching, crap for middle relief, shacky defense, and no minor leaguers to bring up. Gee, I'm really terrified by the choke artist yankees putting together a late season charge. You guys are toast, pass the butter.
  23. Granted, but he's boat loads better than what we had.
