  1. You don't sound well, maybe a little time off will help.
  2. Cough, Cough, Cough, Cough, maybe you can.
  3. I wouldn't. Make the Angels fly 200 miles and play at the stadium, that's a definate advanage. Its the smart move.
  4. Okay. But yankees228 should have alluded to what he was correctiing. Owtherwise it looks like a statement of historical fact.
  5. Whats your point ?
  6. I don't see what the problem is here. No matter what happens today, there will be another game. How would you like to be Cleveland ?

  8. What you have said is true. The excitement of last year's win gave hope to maybe things have changed ( which I still believe they have ) for the Sox. This coupled with the recent success of the Patriots gave rise to the belief that there has been a shift in power. All true fans hope and expect that their teams will improve and perserve. Obviously telling anyone after a disappointing outcome, " I told you so ", isn't going to generate a positive response. This especially true when it appeared that the comment came from someone that just comes to gloat and harass. It seems , however, you are not one of these posters. We have a good number of NY fans that are excellent posters, contibuting good information and perspective. There are also a large number of NY fans ( or they say they are ) that psot solely to disrupt, insult , and gloat. I expect the Sox to make the play-offs as the Wild Card. Furthermore, I'm rooting on the Sox and the Yanks to meet in the AL Championship. I encourage you to continue to post on a more frequent basis, as I sounds as if you have alot you could contribute.

  10. Are you sure about that. The Angels are 1 game behind the Yanks. If the Yanks loose tommorrow and the Angels win, then they're tied. What's the tie breaker ? I thought the Angels had a better record head to head.
  11. I suggust that all who were pissed off send an e-mail to Fox.
  12. Anyone catch the Notre Dame score ?
  13. I'd rather trade Shoppach we might be able to get as much as we would for Belli maybe more. Its not going to be too much longer when the "youth /potential " thing won't be there. I definately agree that we could use some outfield help.
  14. Let's put this way, I'd rather see the Yanks vs Astro's ( if the Sox can't make ). It'll make for a lot more drama. Former players against former team ( Clemens , Petite ) and I wouldn't mind seeing Bernie and Tino go out in style ( both classy guys ). But I'd still rather see the Sox.
  15. No I don't agree. What the Sox did last year was great, but it has absolutely no relevence to this year. You have to earn titles, nobody hands them to you. This is a different team facing different competition. The Yankees won the Eastern Division, nobody gave it to them. If you've been a fan for 56 years, either your are a poor excuse for a fan and/ or your have a serious memory problem. Leads get blown in baseball ( for a number of reasons ) does 1978 ring a bell. Wakefield, often has a bad inning, but quite often will settle down. Bsides, the Sox needed Wak to burn some innings. As for at least two of your cited examples of under performers : Mueller and Varitek ( not Varitex ) you're dead wrong on both. Mueller has played at a gold glove level defensively, he's hitting close to 300 after a slow start ( due to knee surgery ), hits in the clutch, and he's relatively cheap. Varitek is simply one of , if not the best, catchers in the game.
  16. Very, very good point. I was watching the game with my son and we were going ballistic. Its one thing to give a quick update, its totally different if you take the featured game and stick it in a small screen in the corner. Time and time again we said, " Do they have any idea what markets they're pissing off ? " Piss poor coverage by Fox.
  17. Especially against the Sox.
  18. But if we lose and Cleveland wins, there would be a play-off Mon. in Boston.
  19. BOSTON -- In the event the Red Sox host a Monday tie-breaker game with the Cleveland Guardians to determine the American League Wild Card, the club today announced that fans holding A.L. Division Series tickets marked "ALDS Home Game 3" may use those tickets to gain admission to the tie-breaker game. Should the Red Sox win the A.L. Wild Card, they could host a maximum of two Division Series games at Fenway Park, meaning the "ALDS Home Game 3" ticket would otherwise go unused. With today's results, a Monday tie-breaker game would only be necessitated by a Red Sox loss to the Yankees AND an Guardians victory over the White Sox in tomorrow's season finales. A Red Sox win or an Guardians loss tomorrow guarantees the Red Sox the Wild Card. They would play the White Sox in the A.L. Division Series. A limited number of tickets for Monday's game will be available at the Fenway Park Ticket Office beginning at 8 a.m. Monday. Game time for a potential tie-breaker game, which will be determined by Major League Baseball, has yet to be announced. 20. Why wouldn't it happen ? Do you think the Guardians will get swept ? Or that the Yanks will pack it in on Sunday ?
  21. Selling isn't the problem, logistics would be. How do you get 34,000 valid tickets in the purchasers hands in less than one day ??
  22. Will they use tickets @home, at the gate, season ticket holders. To the best of my knowledge they haven't prsold any tickets.
  23. Let's assume that after tommorrow the Sox and Guardians are tied. Its my understanding that due to coin flip, a one game paly-off would be played in Boston. My question is , how due you sell and deliver 34,000 tickets in one day ?
