That's a fact. How many " 1st baseman / DH " have the Sox had in recent years ? There American League is full of them. First base is where players that still have a bat, but have leg or shoulder problems go before becoming a fill time DH.
I really think that the pitching from botth teams will dominate. That being said, it will be the ability to manufacture runs that may spell the difference. That would give an edge to the Sox. Also the Sox also have the home field advanatge ( for what that's worth ).
I read all the posts. But basically, you decided to attack one of two people that you've been been fighting with. You just chose the wrong one ( I'm not sure there is a right one ) The whole initial aurgument was petty to begin with. Howver, ithas some how been escalated to much more than name calling. As a law student, you should know that you must establish your facts first. Personally, I beleive you owe One Red Seat an apology.
First, you post a quote from One Red Seat. then state that "this is intended to whomever posted that as this screenname and cut and paste my introd, edited", then attempted to impune the character specifically of One Red Seat. Clearly, your intent was to rip him with insults and unfounded accusations. One Red Seat is one of the most respected and productive members of this site. You picked the wrong guy to attempt to bash. It only demeans tour standing. Maybe you ought to consider finding somewhere else to spend your free time.
Opinion, tradition, and statistics are what make this game great. If MLB were to add all sorts of electronics to definatively call pitches, foul balls, close plays, etc. I really wouldn't be inerested in the game.
