    Yeah, no thanks.....way too much value for a 33 year old injury prone backup corner-infielder who cant hit anymore and makes 14M a year. We would be LUCKY to get such a good player in return for the corpse that Youkilis has turned in to.

    I doubt we get a thing for him. And thats fine, I wanted him and Beckett gone in the offseason. Addition by subtraction. He was more tolerable when he wasn't an elder statesman on the club. As his service time grew and his comfort level rose, a sense of entitlement grew with Youk. With that said, he was a damn good offensive player here when he was younger and healthy.

    It was nice to see that they have moved Aviles out of the top spot tonight. .285 OB% is not going to cut it. When Ellsbury and Crawford are back, if Gonzalez is still struggling....any chance of Crawford leadoff with Ellsbury hitting 3rd? Who leads off when everyone is healthy?

    He is still hurt. Its time to just DL him and let him heal. We need him right if we want to make a run for it in the second half.

    I am still trying to be optimistic...... Great win today. They are 19-14 on the road and 16-19 at home. That home record HAS to improve, they are traditionally ELITE at home.

    J_E... nope, not against Theo. Current management, yeah......and not that it matters, I work the shifts I choose to work, regardless its none of your business. Your record against me? You run and hide. You troll....then run and hide. Its what you do. I may not exactly be the most liked member, but Im almost positive I am more liked than you......but in the end, I dont care. You do.....you sit in moms basement without a job and without life experiences. I left because of member like you. Unfortunately you still troll around here......so I guess we have to deal with each other. Block me if you like.... Otherwise, this will always continue.

    I thought this whole thread would be an interesting deabte. Clearly not. People forget what Duke did for this franshise when he was here. No sellout streak. Owners didnt give a s*** and he had to BEG for money to sign top FA's. He built from the scrap heap and trades, and he was great at it.

    Was there really a need for Millar to play the OF when you had Manny, Damon, Kapler, Roberts and Nixon already out there? I see what you are saying, he provided flexibility, but there was no reason to ever put someone else at 1B and Millar in the OF when you had all those other options. Millar at 1B and Ortiz DH'ing was their best defensive alignment. And Millar wasn't that great to begin with. He always looked a little awkward/un-athletic over there.
