  1. Just got done painting the ceiling in our bedroom. I must say, I'm shocked they made the mongoloid sac bunt. He hits a dinger if they let him swing away (against the Sox, that is). Nice to see Beckett plunked him twice, too.
  2. And, if we get to a point where we do know that, then.....big f***ing deal. Get better in the offseason (which is what all these short deals allows them to do). I'll be here either way. I agree with the sentiment you posted in another thread. If this season is enough to drive some of the recent additions to the fanbase away and to reduce some of the sense of entitlement, then it's not a total loss.
  3. Oh, he's gone again. About time.
  4. Wrong topic, dimwit. You were stroking yourself on the catcher impact topic when I responded. Damn, you are ridiculously stupid.
  5. Yeah, with the beer bottle, while throwing a runner out, in a blizzard.
  6. Gameday isn't a gun. It's high speed cameras taking photos at 60 Hz from 3 different angles. Brooksbaseball mines the data from Gameday's Pitch f/x system. Per Brooks, he was at 91.79 with 6" of armside run. That's the norm for him when he's healthy.
  7. That's what happens when you are stuck with Gameday, you don't get the visual of the park.
  8. I could have sworn that slam occurred in Seattle.
  9. Mongo kills us, and he's a chucker. So typical.
  10. Dice screwed up by serving meatballs, but when his last start in AAA was limited to 85 pitches (I think), a lot of this falls on the Francoma. Too long a leash as he advanced over 85 pitches.
  11. The homers, on the other hand, don't like those.
  12. 3/4 groundballs find a spot to be hits. That's unfortunate, and vintage Dice K wasn't unfortunate, in fact he was the opposite. I'll take him pitching like this.
  13. Wow, generous strike call there.
  14. You know he's going to walk Izturis to face the top of the order with the sacks full, you know that, right?
  15. Mongo and The Cat have made careers off of their play against the Sox.
  16. Get married and have kids. That will change.
  17. I had some Ayinger Celebrator Dobblebock earlier, but ran out. Now I'm drinking the leftover Budweiser from a recent BBQ.
  18. Yaz would have continued playing one-handed, and he would have had his cast fashioned into a grip that would hold a beer bottle so that he could drink while playing the games.
  19. Yep. I think whole wheat pasta thing is really just an hommage to Yaz. Only dirt could make pasta that gritty.
  20. Yaz invented pasta.
  21. Gom, I've dropped the issue with you because despite being shown conclusively the errors in the basis for your argument, you still ring the same out of tune bell. Don't mistake a lack of engagement for concession of the point. Most of us are just tired of your s***.
