Yeah, Helton is under contract until 2011 (yes, you read that right 2011), so they don't have a space for Shealy. The more I look into it, the more I hope it isn't just another Gammons pipe-dream rumor. Here's what Shealy did in the PCL this year before his callup:
411 AB, 85 R, 135 H, 30 2B, 2 3B, 26 HR, 88 RBI, .328 AVG, .393 OBP, .601 SLG, .994 OPS
The PCL did seem a little light on pitching this year; that, combined with the move to a higher level means we shouldn't expect anything near this from him. But it would be an improvement over what Millar gave us.
