  1. Wow, George must be writing checks to Towers. What a gift.
  2. The Jays are very good against LHP. The heart of their order, Wells, Glaus, and Molina are all .120+ OPS points better in their LHP vs. RHP split.

I actually think D'Brickashaw was the right pick. I've felt Leinart is overrated for quite some time. When you play with the best O-Line and best skill position talent in college, then you are going to look like a hell of a QB. Don't get me wrong, I think Leinart is a good player, but not as good as his hype.
  4. Blue Gays? Jesus, grow the f*** up.
  5. That sucks donkey balls. The futility continues.
  6. I thought they got him from the Giants today.
  7. Yeah, law of averages says it's only a matter of time. That said, it sucks watching the period of futility. Although, I'd rather it be now than in September. Two on, no outs. Come on Mikey, big fly time.
  8. Ok, here we go. Find a gap Mark.
  9. Keep it going Youk.
  10. They got a hit with RISP? WTF? EDIT: I mean, really, :wtf:
  11. Just sad. I've never seen a team waste so many opportunities.
  12. Let's go Trot. This guy brings what you like, nothing but cheese. Put one in the bleachers. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm used to Trot hitting 5th. Let's go Cap'n.....get that bases loaded monkey off your back.
  13. Yeah, and I think the opposite is true. It's close to impossible to build a complete team through the farm system because there are always areas where the farm is weak. Build what you can with the farm and then supplement with trades and FA signings.
  14. What power? His career IsoP is .100. He's at .080 right now. Big dropoff!! Hitters don't need a huge rehab, but Loretta had the same injury before and came back from it. How long did it take for him to come back? Approximately the same amount of ABs he had post-injury last year. Dude's hitting the ball well. It will start finding holes.
  15. No, but the shot down the 3B line in the 1st that Burroughs had to make a diving play for was well hit. I didn't say every AB, but if you want to get smart fine.... And Schilling pitched around 100 "healthy enough to make a determination" innings last year, which lead to your doom and gloom predictions about him. The fact that you consider time played while hurt as meaningful is funny in and of itself. The fact that you are a medical student makes it outright hilarious. EDIT: Sorry, not time played while hurt, but time played as part of recovery.
  16. Have you watched any of the games? If you have been, you would know that he isn't getting hits because he isn't hitting the ball hard. He has been hitting the ball squarely all season long, they just aren't finding holes.
  17. With a BA of .220. Think those two stats are related? Just about everything he's hit this year with gap-power or more has been at a fielder. Look at his BABIP, it's ridiculously low.
  18. Same thing, over and over and... Watch the games. He's putting a charge into the ball. He was in ST, he was early in the year when he started hot, he is now. The ball is just right at people a lot of the time.
  19. And he's spanking them around the park, the only problem is that he's hitting a lot of balls right at people. I'd be worried if it was a bunch of weak choppers and pop-ups, but he's hitting hard grounders and line drives at OFs. League average BABIP is around .300, and his last two years were .298 and .344. This year, thus far, his BABIP is .235. That will come around. I'm not worried about Mark.
  20. The offense is joke right now. I'm not in the mood to look it up, but I'm willing to bet they have stranded more runners at 3B with less than 2 outs than any team in the league. And Clement sucks so bad it isn't funny. I can't believe I have to watch this head-case pussy take the mound for 60+ more starts before he gets out of town.
  21. Run differential, or Pythagorean Record, is a useful, but most statisticians say you need around 100+ games for it to start having meaning. It's rather convienent that you bring it up when the Sox just dipped into negative numbers for the first time following a 15-3 drubbing. Here's an idea of why it isn't that meaningful yet, the Yankees were 11-19 with a -21 run differential last year on May 6. If the Sox are still over .500 with a negative run diff come post-ASG, then I'll start to worry about the stretch run.
  22. I fully support people's right to express their displeasure with their government; however, I feel I should have the constitutional right make them swallow a few teeth when they do it in my presence.
  23. That's because the Jays can rake LHP. They are a 1.024 OPS team against LHP this year. That said, RJ is facing Towers, the Yanks lineup should have a nice BP day that day.
  24. What, you cannot recognize that this is a place for Sox fans? Call it unfair, but I think a Sox board is a place that Sox fans should expect to be free from Yankee fan baiting. But rooting for your team isn't good enough for you, you have to come try and s*** on Sox fans' good time in order to complete your day.
  25. Nice yacker to Michaels.
