  1. How sad is it the YES is showing clips of Damon hitting the granny in Game 7 of '04 to pump up the base in this spot?
  2. Big K. Do the rest.
  3. Another dink. Those don't hurt when you don't pitch like you need Midol for two ABs handing out the free passes. I like Matsuzaka, but that's twice this year he's just lost it upstairs. This is becoming a trend.
  4. I agree. The strikezone in the Arod AB was ball or meatball. That said, after that walk he's looked like dung. He needs thicker skin.
  5. He's all over the place. Who flipped the suck switch?
  6. Atonement. Arigato.
  7. Not good Lugo. That was 2.
  8. Ump falls for the patented Jeter dive on the inside corner. Dope.
  9. WHOOOP![/berman voice] Sit Dougie.
  10. One Red Seat! Oh wait, we aren't exclaiming our names?
  11. Good start for a crooked number inning.......YOUKS!!!
  12. It is on almost every lefty. The runner's lead at 2nd is behind the pitcher, so they don't control the running game as well. For the RHP they can see the runner and know when the lead has gotten too big. EDIT: Oops, thought you meant 2nd, didn't see the 1st at first. Yeah, that about sums up their broadcast team.
  13. And the 0-1 to Ortiz was well outside. Getting up 0-2 dictated that AB.
  14. Kay and Leiter are fabricating to the ends of the Earth to give that 1 mi wide, 1" deep fanbase some confidence in the middle of this losing streak. Matsuzaka, according to Kay, has a high ERA, Leiter days his pitches aren't deceptive enough, right before he puts Abreu in his back pocket. I suspect there have been orders from up high to propagandize.
  15. cmon Jacko, the strikezone hasn't been that bad.[/jacko]
  16. And we get a questionable one back, I'm satisfied. He worked Damon.
  17. Every time Michael Kay speaks an angel loses its wings. Holy crap, we better get that 24" wide plate.
  18. For the record, the Yankees did not experience a rainout. It was more of a feignout. You know, feign like it is raining and then call the game so you can eliminate one bum and rest the pen leading into a series against your rival.
  19. It's not about whose "turn" it is. It is about the Mojo. The streak. Anyone can start the game thread after a loss, but you don't interupt a streak for the game thread starter when they are winning. It's not a written rule, but it's just a fun observance of the board. Yes, we all know it has no actual impact on the game, but it's something we do nonetheless. So, since you are new, I'll cut you some slack. I just wish people weren't so eager to be the thread starter that they don't take the time to learn the customs of the board. So, with that in mind, we must keep the train a rollin' (note: trains have been the theme of my two game streak). Daisuke "Shinkansen Train" Matsuzaka vs. Andy "The talking horse" Pettitte http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en-commons/thumb/b/bd/400px-Mountfujijapan.jpg vs. http://img59.echo.cx/img59/324/mred7vj.jpg I said, train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long With a "heave!", and a "ho!" But I just couldn't tell her so, no, no, no...
  20. They can pitch, they can hit, this is a good ball team. All aboard!!
