  1. If this is the '07 Rivera - has to happen sometime, right? - we should start worrying about the O's. Or maybe the D-Rays. Seriously. He's got nothing right now.
  2. Mariano's gettin' chippy. That's a shame. [/seinfeld]
  3. Jeemer! Jeemer! Jeemer!
  4. Good smahts from the Jeemer.
  5. Lars Anderson is killing the Sally. He's 1/2 tonight - avg up to .351 - with 3 BB. His line is up to .351/.420/.546 with 2 dingers from a 19 y/o. He is going to go bonkers in the Lancaster launching pad, which should be his home after another month of this.
  6. I like this Vizcaino guy. He's like a run dispensing machine.
  7. Unless you can show me a number, I'm going to go ahead and say you are wrong, because my memory tells me he saw plenty of junk in the dirt. And, the results you can't ignore are in 25 ABs. I can make David Eckstein look like Babe Ruth and vice versa given the right 25 AB window, so take it with a grain of salt.
  8. Did you look at the numbers before stating that? Is .013 points of OBP worth giving up .055 points of SLG? I know OBP rates higher, but it's at about 1.7:1, not 4:1.
  9. Here's what's posted above, but editted for brevity: Ignore last year because it doesn't fit my rant.
  10. My take. He's the best total package CF in the Sox system from top to bottom. That said, they've got some money and commitment tied into the current guys. But if he keeps hitting .440+ and being a terror on the basepaths while they keep struggling, I don't see how they can ignore him.
  11. Nice to see Ellsbury going 4-4, 2 R, 2 SB too.
  12. Ripped. The Proctologist can cure what ails you.
  13. Any walks? That's the thing to watch, for me.
  14. Nice try, Slappy. Sit.
  15. This is a newer nicer version of the Yankees. When you give them runs, they return the favor. George must be getting soft in his old age.
  16. I don't like this ump's style either. He's not the show, so he shouldn't act like it.
  17. I wouldn't be either if he hadn't already shown this in Toronto. Two times in 5 games he's completely melted after a close call walk. He needs to accept that its going to happen in this league. Nice to see the boys pick him up a little with some offense.
  18. That's absolutely not true. He's had a runner on each inning, but his command was fine before. The problem is between the ears.
  19. That's the thing with him. He did it in Toronto. He melted, and then came back and K'd the side. It's all in his head. I hope this doesn't become an issue. So far, he's like Mussina on steroids when it comes to the petulant melt down.
  20. Stop dancing and pitch.
