  1. If the final stat line is acceptable, why does it matter how you look getting there? Don't get me wrong, this isn't to say that there isn't room for improvement, but I don't think he's anywhere near as bad, overall, as the reactionary crowd suggests. You guys are fooled by your emotional reaction to him striking out.
  2. This "matter of time" has been in the works for a few years now. Do you really think they don't know his weakness already and are just figuring it out? Please. Every team has advance scouts and watches film. He's still going to get fastballs because situation will dictate it.
  3. Whether or not he can, or should be able to, hit a curve is immaterial. The numbers are there. WMP makes outs in about 67% of his plate appearances right now. What we want you to answer is why one form of out, the strikeout, is worse than the other types of outs.
  4. Ball 4 too. That would have brought up the Belli who would have at least made him throw another 4-5 pitches. They aren't getting s*** off him, but he's working for his outs. 66 pitches through 4
  5. http://www.hep.man.ac.uk/u/chrisg/misc/images/tesla-part2.gif Summary: It takes some serious energy and smarts to create a Wakefield. Win, Tim. EDIT: Oh yeah, and let's not forget, this shall rule the day..... http://www.stevenellis.com/steven_ellis_the_complete/images/knuckleball.jpg
  6. Hansack isn't an option unless Beckett hits the DL. He was optioned back down on 5/11, and unless he's replacing someone who goes on the DL, he can't come back up for 10 days. EDIT: My guess is Snyder for the Braves and Gabbard for the Yankees if he misses two starts. Gabbard for the Braves if it's one. Gabbard was pulled last night while throwing well after 64 pitches, so 3 days rest shouldn't be an issue.
  7. What a load of revisionist crap. Hansen absolutely dominated in his short professional debut in AA, albeit in a small sample, and they needed relief help in year they made the playoffs. It's as simple as that. A team makes that move 10 times out of 10. It didn't work out. Oh well. As for the following year, I think the screw up is changing too many things with the way he pitches. He's still learning to do what they want him to. He's far from ruined. I mean, look no further than Cla Meredith, "ruined" after being called up. They got impatient, traded him, and now look at him in SD.
  8. Take that to jive to mfyfans.com. Dice was "officially a Red Sock" in December. Great win. Good team. It's all roses right now.
  9. Nice. Lugo's on fire. Youk keeps the pedal down. This is damn good baseball team.
  10. Hey, kids. Looks like Dice has it tonight. Good times.
  11. Dragon-ball like ghost Tiger bat finds only smoke Red Sox win again Haiku their asses!
  12. The grapes must be awful sour there 8 games back. Interesting choice of forums to post it in too. Keep up the good work.
  13. Did I miss the joke? Was that in reference to Crespo's taunts to RS?
  14. Well, give him and the O's credit for feigning injury when nobody was warm yet.
  15. Ok, Curt. There's your lead. Bring us home.
  16. Trachsel crossing the road: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/set/1478/sloth20051small.jpg
  17. Good recovery after a little trouble last inning. This the first time I've listened to Gameday Audio. I like O'Brien with Castig. Trupe was alright, but he annoyed me.
  18. Listening to Gameday Audio.
  19. Houdini. Nice. Now score.
  20. You are in another country.
  21. Yeah, only the local region gets the local broadcast from 1-7 on Saturday's, per the Fox exclusive time slot in their broadcast rights contract.
