Refer to tonight as exhibit A, with tomorrow probably being exhibit B, as to why counting the Yankees out is folly. All it takes is one starter to go down. Just one, for any period of time, and we all of a sudden have 2/5 of the rotation going short on regular basis, thus draining the 'pen and putting pressure on the big 3. Now, luckily, JB isn't missing significant time, but there are still 4+ long months ahead, and s*** has been known to happen with this team.
The Yankees will go on a tear at some point. With the talent they have in that lineup, and, while there is no ace, in the rotation, when everyone is clicking together, I can see them running off 16 of 20, easily. If that coincides with 3-week .500 stretch for us, the gap will close quick.
