  1. MDC = Meatball Deluxe Central
  2. Predictable MDC. Gives up the single, loses his mind, and can't find the plate. In the nature vs nurture debate, what nuturing characteristics result in a complete ineffectual pussy with no confidence? My guess is MDC received that treatment.
  3. Good stuff after the lapse and leadoff walk. 93 pitches, bring him back out for one more, but have someone up.
  4. Come on, Jon. You've got the lead and it's Shawn Riggans.
  5. Rasner needs 76 pitches to go 6 against the M's, he's got an 8-2 lead, and Girardi goes to Fred "The Dorf" Dorfman who is on pace for over 100 IP. That's a Torre move. Stupid.
  6. Nice. Another efficient inning, and he can probably go 6 today.
  7. Pretty crummy outcome on Drew's contact for that location. That was a big fat cookie. He actually threw him two that he missed.
  8. This is good, let's have more.
  9. The Gameday display had it clearly outside.
  10. http://di1.shopping.com/images/di/74/6c/56/384f573757516a4844757a6d4e6a30626b5967-100x100-0-0.jpg
  11. Pitch f/x has Kazmir starting to get a generous outside corner.
  12. Throwing the curve for strikes is good to see.
  13. Lugo cost Jon about 8 pitches. I think Pedroia just saved him about 8.
  14. I think Magrane said something about Lugo's K, but it was kind of muffled with Kazmir's cock balls deep in his mouth.
  15. Regardless of outcome, and yes I'll curse if he GIDP's, good plate appearance for Lugo.
  16. Win. Liked what I saw tonight.
  17. Coincidence. That is, unless Ellsbury's presence in the lineup makes everyone stop hitting the ball right at people.
  18. The Ray's feed has the dead CF angle tonight. Howell gets an assload of movement on his 2-seamer.
  19. Nice quick inning from Beckett. He doesn't have his top-shelf stuff tonight, but, aside from the inning where he loaded the bases, he's pitched well with what he has. When Manny bailed him out, I thought he was overthrowing all inning.
  20. I feel that the baseball Gods should be frowning on the Rays chances simply for the fact that Magrane and Staats are so out to lunch. The stupid things they say have to have a karmic impact in order to keep the world in balance. If they don't get proven wrong, then the end of days might be near.
  21. Site went down for me for a while. Meh, Beckett was doing what I want him to do with the lead, throwing strikes. He got a little too much of the plate, but if you are going to do that Gabe Gross isn't the worst person in that lineup to miss with. And more of the same in the 3rd. Beckett is pitching like he should with a lead. Looks like the bats want to get both back for him.
  22. I think it's been more than the last year or two. To me, it feels like the zone has shrunk over the last decade. Some of the pitches last night that were called strikes and appeared borderline to me were right in the same area I'm used to seeing called balls against teams with a rep for patience.
