1. Since you've editted this since my original reply, I'll provide another. The Metrodome and the Trop fluctuate between hitter/pitcher friendly, they are neutral parks. So that whittles your list down to 5 parks. In the NL there is Citizens Bank (Phillies), Great America (Reds), Wrigley (Cubs), Coors (Rockies), and Chase (DBacks). The equal mix I indicated seems more accurate.
2. I don't know if I agree with that. There are a mix of parks in both leagues.
3. I don't deny the NL is easier for pitchers. The AL consistently averages about 0.5 runs more per game. The DH spot consistenly produces about 60-100 more RC than pitchers/pinch hitters (average of 80 runs, or 0.5 R/Game). The difference in rules makes it so.
4. This all goes back to my original point, the lack of thought that went into the original "LOL, the NL" sentiment that was the immediate justification for Penny's performance. Perhaps had you agreed with me up front, like you appear to be doing now, we could have left it at that.
5. Please enlighten me, your grasp of statistics on the subject thus has been exemplary. I'm curious to know what else you can pull from your rectum.
6. You could, you know, look that up, right? Park Factors
Park|R|HR|H|2B|3B Fenway|1.073|0.902|1.004|1.362 AT&T|1.049|0.926|1.009|1.025
More thoughtless drivel, [insert trite nickname here].
7. I don't care how much of a joke anyone thinks the NL is, I'm laughing at you if you think Penny's good start was because of change in leagues. The Phillies have an excellent lineup that has scored more runs than these offenses that ripped Penny to s*** in the AL (Texas, Toronto, Baltimore, Detroit). If you want to ridicule the league, have at it, but at least look like you've thought about it for longer than 5 seconds when you do.
8. No matter how s***** things have been for Freddy Garcia, this team makes him look good. It's really baffling.
9. Giving up a HR to Kotsay may be weak, but it's only a weak electron on a massive molecule of weaksauce compared being shut down by Freddy Garcia.
10. Something tells me the answer is no....for now... because Tubby is busy applying a fresh coat of his own excrement right now.
11. Allegedly.
12. No, and that's the thing. Tebow's awesomeness cannot be bound by fanhood. I lived in Orlando, not far from Gainesville, close enough to feel the power of his light. Hallelujah!
13. He can turn your hate into love with his tears.
14. How can you guys be talking about college football for this many posts without bringing up Tim Tebow? You know, if you spend about 20 minutes with him, your life will be better for it. I learned that in last year's BCS Championship.
15. I think people need to remember that Buchholz has two things going on. One, he's never thrown this many innings in a season, so he's approaching his limit (lest he appear in next year's Verducci Effect article). Two, he's got to be considered part of the postseason rotation at this point. Therefore, limiting him to 91 pitches after a QS seems reasonable to me, especially with the expanded rosters.
16. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait for the Yankees to be out of first place again for her to slink away. The last time she posted this frequently was in 2006. She's a hit and run artist who only shows up when things are going well.
17. So, you like tossed salad....from a man. Not just any man, but the "f***ing" man. Interesting.
18. You must have quit following baseball at the end of July.
19. Wow, you can name call in a medium that affords you anonymity. You're cool.
20. I'll pick up the slack for Dipre. Semen is not viral. Carry on.
