  1. The article says that one possibility is Alex Cora going to Chicago. Still an upgrade offensively, not that bad of a move
  2. Solid game by Dice, he has now allowed just 3 runs in his last 5 starts! Thats covering 30.1 innings Matsuzaka this season vs Seattle in 2 games, 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA. At SAFECO Field in 2 games, 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA. On the road in 8 games, 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA Dickey this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA. At home in 9 games, 0-4 with a 4.78 ERA
  3. Nice road game, especially in SAFECO Field. The Sox lead with 11 shutouts. Jon Lester, who I believe has been this year's ace, has been part of 6 of the shutouts. Good to see the kid Lowrie get a big hit in there. DITTO for Varitek Lester last season vs Seattle in 1 game, 9.00 ERA. This season on the road in 11 games, 4-2 with a 3.48 ERA Washburn last season vs Boston in 1 game, 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA. This season at home in 8 games, 2-4 with a 5.00 ERA
  4. Tito does his signature leaving his starting pitcher in too long
  5. Confetti comes down as Buchholz finally gets the 2nd out, after allowing 5 consecutive baserunners
  6. Not sure, but the Sox should have up on the shelf the possibility of canning Masterson's move to the bullpen EDIT: The kid has got s***, bullpen for 7/8 innings tonight
  7. Me thinks Buchholz needs some more time in Pawtucket
  8. Buchholz this season on the road in 5 games, 0-3 with an 8.64 ERA Lackey last season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-2 with an 8.38 ERA. At home this season in 5 games, 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA
  9. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8352458/Agent:-Twins-phenom-Liriano-frustrated-over-status?CMP=OTC-K9B140813162&ATT=3498 Livan Hernandez is only still on the roster because he's owed $5 million. He is this year's worst starting pitcher, compiling a 7.28 ERA with opposing .350 avg. Liriano meanwhile has been dealing down in Triple A EDIT
  10. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Aivu74nITpyEaXSi1oj0Jrg5nYcB?slug=ap-all-stars&prov=ap&type=lgns The 16th inning couldve been a pitching matchup of David Wright vs JD Drew!
  11. I was at work during majority of the All-Star game. Wow I just saw highlights when Papelbon was pitching in the 8th inning... Ok yes he's a Red Sox and he talked about how he wanted to close because thats what he's used to... Tied game in the 8th inning (ptching for the American League!!), still good enough reason to chant and try to get his nerves up??
  12. Sorry about that man. Last year when I went to Yankee Stadium, the same damn thing happened to me! I was walking up to my car, as I got closer I saw glass on the ground next to my car. The gps was the only thing they took
  13. Drewwwwww Haha I still hear boos for Drew when they announce the MVP of the game
  14. Def agree, and its not like the offense is on their hands & knees right now. Youk is a keeper, he's a gold glover and is on pace to have roughly a 25 HR, 100+/- RBI season. It is a good thing for a manager to have when his 1st baseman can switch over to 3rd base, still giving you soild D. Hansen is a work in progress, eventual all-star set up man.
  15. Congratulations Papelbon on your 100th career save!! He is now 33 saves away from passing Bob Stanley for 1st all time
  16. Make that 3 more men left on
  17. Cmon Ellsbury, 14 baserunners now through 5 innings!!
  18. The hothead Cabrera is starting to show himself
  19. Blah, Sox fail to make Cabrera pay for allowing 11 baserunners in just 4 innings
  20. Get the Quest Tech out, that last pitch to Huff was definitely a strike
  21. Cabrera this season vs Boston in 4 games, 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA. At Fenway Park in 2 games, 0-1 with a 6.92 ERA. On the road in 13 games, 3-5 with a 4.18 ERA Matsuzaka this season at home in 9 games, 6-1 with a 3.05 ERA
  22. I wouldnt mind 1. Jacoby Ellsbury cf 2. Dustin Pedroia 2b 3. David Ortiz dh 4. Manny Ramirez lf 5. J.D. Drew rf 6. Mike Lowell 3b 7. Kevin Youkilis 1b 8. Jason Varitek c 9. Jed Lowrie ss (Lugo is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks)
  23. Cleveland came into this series with a 10 game losing streak and lost their ace CC to Milwaukee. They have outscored the Rays by 25-2!!! EDIT: Red Sox about to go into double digits again
  24. Pedroia the Destroy-ah!! 9-1 baby Last year he had 8 Hrs 50 RBIs, at the all star break he is at 9 Hrs 46 RBIs
