  2. His last season in the majors, for this steroid scandal "which he didnt take. Period (finger point)" haha. I heard on WEEI theres some specualtion the Orioles could be looking at Mike Piazza to serve as their DH in 2006
  3. its cool, i dont know the lineup but will post it when I hear so
  4. a smart move to make, avoiding sending him down when Trot comes back this week
  5. what had cost the game was the Sox offense being kept quiet until the 8th inning, and the bullpen decisions as well
  6. hardly unlikely in the same offseason would the Sox try to unload Manny's and Edgar's high priced contracts--they're main goals should be new first baseman, a starting pitcher as in AJ Burnett According to Gordon Edes a betting war between Bos and NY will happen, and some looks into improving the bullpen
  7. if johnny had not bobbled the ball, score wouldve just been 1-0

  9. White Sox hope to snap skid at seven New York (67-54) at Chicago (74-46), 2:05 p.m. CT A slump is something that no team ever wants to experience, but for manager Ozzie Guillen, he's glad that his team decided to get their losing streak out of the way now. The White Sox have lost seven in a row, their longest losing streak of the season, but Guillen knew that his team would have a stretch. "I'd rather be here in that situation right now than be in it in September," Guillen said. "We can go through this right now. A lot of teams have gone through it. Minnesota lost 10 of 11 games two weeks ago and so did Cleveland. "I think we will come out of here, I think our pitching staff is going to get back, and hopefully our offense helps them. It's 162 games, even the best teams are going to lose." The streak has cost the White Sox their hold on the best record in the Major Leagues, but Chicago would just be happy to add another win to their record. Jose Contreras is the Sox's next hope to get them back to their winning ways. Contreras had success against the Yankees in his last start, shutting out New York for seven innings and giving up only three hits while striking out six. The Yankees will send Randy Johnson to the mound in hopes of picking up the sweep. Johnson has not faced the White Sox since 1998. Pitching matchup: NYY: LHP Randy Johnson • 11-7, 4.22 ERA in 2005 • Has not faced CWS since 1998 CWS: RHP Jose Contreras • 7-7, 4.24 ERA in 2005 • 1-0, 1.00 ERA vs. NYY in 2005
  10. that is true, last night he commited his 21st error in 107 games
  11. lets not forget the starting pitching has been getting better recently Clement and Bronson have both had solid back to back outings but thoise games being no decisions. As well as Papelbon last week against the Detroit. In each of those total 5 games, the starters gave up 3 runs or less. Thito just needs to just do some managing of the bullpen, like not bringing in Triple A pitcher when the score what it was at 2-0, and having this loyalty complex now to remlinger, he doesnt deserve any more chances to redeem himself. DFA his ass!!!!
  12. pitcher vs batter matchups: Go Paps!!!
