  1. wow you can tell the Blue Jays fans are so into the game. Even at blowouts in Fenway Park & Yankee Stadium, the hometown fans are making noise. Its as quiet as a museum in Toronto.
  2. Besides Lester's recent start saw him go 4 innings, 2 hits, 0 Runs, 0 Walks, 6 Ks
  3. actually he'll be a long man, how little you know. Lefty specialist he is not, as lefties have hit .300 against him. And he's had 2 good starts, not 1
  4. and tomorrow we got Clement up on the mound against the Blue Jays... 9.45 ERA against them, so yeah Im gonna be doing some drinking for sure Im already focusing on the Guardians series: Schilling, Wakefield, Beckett
  5. AJ burnett back on DL, Scott Downs will take his rotation spot
  6. DiNardo, way to hang everything out there. Tito way to back it up with another maskeshift lineup
  7. if you ever go again, try and get seats in sections 32 & 33, the "family sections" where no drinking is allowed. Those sections is where the majority of Yankee fans are at the Sox/Yanks games.
  8. Stern was in an 0 for 14 slump, I saw same thing from Willie as I saw from Stern recently. Dustan Mohr shouldve gotten the start anyway tonight Willie is a knowledgable baserunner, 49 steals in 61 chances. He has been known to be a solid defender, holding a career .987 fielding percentage. That is combined rating of him playing short, 2nd, and the outfield. He is a quality utility guy to have around.
  9. Is that 10.1 scoreless innings for Paps to start the season off? Let alone he has now pitched 10 scoreless innings against the Blue Jays
  10. The Red Sox also at some point are going to give Fenway a Wrigley Field type of feel. The "laundry building" behind Fenway could see bleachers built onto the roof.
  11. Josh Towers is a pitcher the Sox have handled, 9.00 ERA in 4 starts. On the other hand, Clement is starting for us. So Im gonna have my drinks handy
  12. huh? are you serious Beckett thre just 78 pitches through first 7 innings, any manager would bring him back for the 8th. Only thing I was against, was brining in Rudy Seanez in an extra innings game with the go-ahead runner on base.
  13. do you mean Seanez??? Baltimore, Seattle, now against Toronto
  14. ooh Foulkie, sweet pitch we need a run, due up next inning for toronto: catalanotto, wells, glaus
  15. Thank you Tito, get paps in there
  16. yes everyone saw that a curveball hit him, obviously not intentional
  17. 78 pitches in 7 innings, you wouldnt bring Beckett out for the 8th?
  18. calm down, it wasnt intentional. A lot of his pitches today have been slipping from his hand before, some just missing other batters.
  19. same reason Stern was best suited for in his short stay with Boston before being sent down to Pawtucket. Stern was sent down more to work on his offense. He wasnt actually a hard out for pitchers, an 0 for 14 slump. Willie Harris will do just fine as utility man for us.
  20. I heard a Beckett interview on WEEI during spring training, he explained that he was starting to change his way of pitching.. not focusing on K's but just getting the groundball out. Sure everyone loves seeing K's, but who can argue with his ace like results?
