    Phew! That sports flash on WEEI got me worried as I was driving to work. Lineups have been announced, Pedroia is the only regular getting a rest. Even with Cora batting (and Dougie last night)... Crisp is still batting 9th. I think its safe to say after a week, Crisp's new spot is 9th. Soon enough he'll bat himself out of the lineup altogether

    For the Sox its not about the money because they have bank, of course it is for LaPorta and Boras. Still theres a thin line to how much the Sox will give up for a kid coming out of college

    Its sounding like Tito wants to give Manny the day off... he also might give other players a day off, basically game 1 redux. Ok I know its on the west coast but this is a must win game as any with your trusted stopper pitching, why baby and rest players? I'll update the lineups once more info comes in Schilling this season vs Oakland in 2 games, 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA. On the road in 6 games, 4-2 with a 3.44 ERA Blanton this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 3.19 ERA. At home in 6 games, 2-2 with a 1.91 ERA

    Arent higher draft picks awarded bigger signing bonuses? Also I'll understand with the Sox's cautious steps if he was asking them for a major league contract.

    So basically this thread was made, not to talk about this prospect... but shove it in Sox fan's faces that the Yankees potentially get a 1st baseman slugger that was drafted by the Sox the year before? Thats is he pans out as well through the minors and who is blocking him. Also it wasnt about money, hell the Sox gave $4 million to Hansen. LaPorta wanted to go back to school and be a higher draft pick in 2007 I pray to god that if the Yankees draft him, they sign him to a major league contract... that will only come to bite them

    Within the next week or so, both Timlin and Lester are expected to be up. Id say the Sox should get rid of both Romero and Pineiro. Release Romero as he is owed just $1 million. Send Pineiro to some NL team with Sox eating up most of the salary, get something close to decent in return Then Sox would have a pitching staff...     Yes a career .273 hitter will only hit in the low .200s for the rest of his career Eh Id say he had 3.5 good seasons for the Rays, but nice trying to make it sound worse for Sox fans
