  1. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/mlb/fantasy/preview/y2010/index.jsp?team=bos Dice-K's projected line is being too hopeful IMO MLB.com's fantasy preview 1. Ellsbury- (.297 avg) (.352 obp) (.422 slg) (.774 ops) 9 HRs, 63 RBIs, 106 Runs, 67 SBs 2. Pedroia- (.311 avg) (.378 obp) (.459 slg) (.837 ops) 16 HRs, 84 RBIs, 111 Runs, 16 SBs 3. 2. Alan Embree lol Updated stats (includes college games)
  3. So he is screwed either way, ok lol
  4. Its not like Almanzar was at the level of Aroldis Chaoman. There wasnt really a lot of buzz when the Sox signed him. I watch NESN and comcast sports tonight about every night and they only mention top prospects that do it on the field. They never once brought him, that I can assure you. So even when he was signed, not even close to Casey Kelly status because he was just a 17 year old kid with raw upside
  5. Updated stats (includes college games)
  6. Pedroia, Martinez and Youkilis are 9 for 9 with 7 runs scored and 4 RBI. Nothing but gravy
  7. Id say the Mets would, but yeah I thought that John Lackey was a no brainer to go to them as well...
  8. 4 Runs through 3 innings by the "Kansas City Royals" offense. Shouldve been more.. but for some reason Youkilis was sent home, bases wouldve remained loaded
  9. I think its because the 4 year extension would be on top of this coming season, basically it would be 6 year commitment. Def think 4/$68 is be nice starting point
  10. Every starter is in todays lineup except for Drew Ellsbury LF Pedroia 2B Martinez C Youkilis 1B Ortiz DH Beltre 3B Cameron CF Hall RF Scutaro SS
  11. I didnt know that 8th top prospect (ranked year and half ago) in organization meant untouchable Bleacher report... this is the same site (and only site!!) that has said that the Sox REALLY want to move the versatile Youkilis. And that article is not hyping that he will be a generational talent... its just listing the 3rd base prospects in the organization haha, and that he has raw talent
  12. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/
  13. How about Jason Place?? Ryan Westmoreland/Ryan Kalish/Josh Reddick have been mentioned in trades, why not Place? Place like Almanzar is another young kid taken that has raw talent and high upside... but has hit Mendoza in Single A.
  14. Jacko please give us evidence when Almanzar was rated in the ranks of Casey Kelly/Clay Buchholz/Jon Lester/Jonathan Papelbon, etc? He would only be in that class, if he actually produced anything on the field!! Which he clearly hasnt. The only thing that has been praised about him is his Raw talent and upside
  15. I never heard Almanzar's or Place's names brought up whenever there was trade buzz. Maybe there was somewhat of buzz when they signed... but both have done jack squat to merit top prospect status
  16. I was replying to a700 who was worrying about todays offense... when its just a ST game, and the starters are taken out in like the 5th inning. I was using the yankees offense in ST to prove a point
  17. I loved your prediction in 2007 that the Sox would finish in 3rd place:lol:
  18. We dont know what this offense will do until they have the actual starting lineup together for 9 innings... which wont come until April 4th. Oh and the Yankees have the same W-L record as the Red Sox do, last time I checked their offense has been outscored by 28 runs Marco Scutaro ss Bill Hall lf Mike Lowell 3b Kevin Youkilis 1b David Ortiz dh JD Drew rf Jason Varitek c Tug Hulett 2b Josh Reddick cf
  19. Francona has revealed the starting pitching rotation Sox/Yanks series Beckett vs CC Lester Lackey Sox/Royals series Wakefield Beckett Buchholz And Lester is tentatively scheduled to have his 2nd start be against the Twins, which is the debut opener of Target Field
