  1. Drew is batting sub mendoza with RISP/2 outs. He just proved it again
  2. I dont know, I just have a feeling in the gut that the Sox yet again will stand pat and Theo will talk about conserving the future, yadi yadi yada
  3. Proctor should be in there instead
  4. Theo has had only one good trading deadline year. His last 2 years he's gotten us just Bryan Corey whos right now in Pawtucket. $5 says he doesnt move Wily Mo, maybe the same for the offseason
  5. Wakefield has sucked ass at Fenway this season. Also in 6 out of his last 10 starts he has had 3 Ks or less 10 games, *6-4 62.2 innings, 71 Hits, 39 Runs (38 ER), 9 HRs, 19 Walks, 29 Ks EDIT: Annnd that officially does it for me, the 4th DP of the night. Tavarez vs Perez, Tavarez is fading quikcly and Perez has handled the Sox while sucking against everyone else. Hey uh Theo... dont know if youve noticed but your boys are playing the exact same way they did last year. Are you going to do anything or sit with your thumbs up your ass?
  6. Damn this is where our season has gotten, the recent game threads are as dead as last September
  7. This team is piss poor, only in 1st place because of which division they are in. Since the All-star break its been W-L-W-L-W-L Lopez get a f***ing out!?
  8. f***ing mirabelli lopez a lefty specialist? Lefties are hitting him at a .277 clip while righties at .200
  9. While I dont mind the vision of Arod taking over at 3rd base. Here's the conundrum.... his agent is the sneaky Scott Boras. He waits until Christmas/New Years for his biggest free agent to sign with a team. Sox run the risk of being one of the losing teams, then time for a desperation trade
  10. Well if its done in the offseason-- Coco Crisp, Michael Bowden, Brandon Moss Mid-season, Sox would have to call on a 3rd team to take on Lowell EDIT: f***, runners on corners with no outs... Sox already trailing by 2 runs in the 7th
  11.  If that is true, sorry Scaff but this is a forum. Not the board where everything one poster says is the bonafide truth and cant question him at all. Oh yea I'll be begging for his "services", whatever that might be...
  12. Sox get a run back but in the meantime they have now left 7 men on base, and Wake had to wait almost a half an hour for that measly run
  13. Yuck, Ortiz has been K'ing a lot on half hearted swings
  14. Yes Dusty, get the run in and he reaches base safely
  15. He used to be the best backup catcher in baseball, not anymore is that the case. Then they coined his best use as catching Wakefield. The guy is in his age 37 season and is showing his age more ways than one. I just cant see them resigning him for 2008 Last 2 seasons 106 games- 50 for 266 (.188 avg) 9 Doubles, 9 HRs, 34 RBIs, 16 Runs, 22 Walks, 90 Ks
  16. Only positive is that the Sox bats are making this kid (with a career 6.99 ERA) work for his outs. 71 pitches through 4, sooner they get to the middle relief the better
  17. This will be Wakefield's 1st start vs Kansas City since 2005, that was a win where he gave up 4 runs in 7 innings Wakefield this season at home in 10 games, 6-4 with a 5.50 ERA
  18. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7541/career;_ylt=AvLiE_nM9_8RwXTHfw83BwOFCLcF Sox have to hit this guy. Tomorrow's starter has been changed to Leo Nunez. In 48 games over the last 2 seasons he has compiled a career 6.99 ERA, opposing .324 BA, and 11 HRs allowed in 67 innings. This will be his first career start in the majors
  19. I know that from before... I was just giving an update from gordon edes from the pre-game meeting with the press. I didnt make it up that Tito said there wouldve been a chance they wouldnt play tonight
  20. Yesss Sox win, 56-36, back to 20 games above .500 Gabbard has been having a good run. If no trade is made for a starter, he should def stay in the rotation once Curt comes back. Tavarez to the pen Ortiz/Manny... that thunder & lightning duo have come back to form after the all-star break. Over the last 5 games they have combined for 4 HRs, 15 RBIs
  21. Im trying to get tix to the Saturday game vs Chicago, its lined up to be Gabbard's next start. At least I can avoid having to hear Tim McCarver do the play by play Ok... according to Boston.com, Tito told the media there is a chance that both Drew and Varitek could still be on the bench tonight. With Wake starting tomorrow, that could be 3 straight starts for .175 hitter Mirabelli Bannister this season on the road in 7 games, 2-3 with a 3.96 ERA Gabbard this season at home in 3 games, 3-0 with a 2.47 ERA
