    Coco Crisp was just a stop gap... no one's complaining with Ellsbury writing his name on the opening day lineup card. After 1 year it is too soon to say that Drew will be a bust over the 5 years of his contract Matt Clement was an All-Star in his first year in Boston. His Boston career went to s*** after being hit with a line drive to the head. Not many can come back like themselves after that. At least we got more out of him than the yankees did with Jaret Wright and Carl Pavano-- 7 years/$61 million You dug up the Josh hancock for Jeremy Giambi trade? Which was really a minor deal for both teams in the end, and it happened oh 4/5 years ago ******** if I ever heard of it. Renteria couldnt handle the big sports city. Lets see Renteria had 30 errors, and no other Sox infielder came close to 30 errors that season... yep its the field's fault. BTW he made more errors that season on the road Bill Mueller, Kevin Millar, 2004 summer trade (Cabrera, Roberts, Mientkiewicz), Curt Schilling, Keith Foulke

    Oy, Im getting a migraine -- There isnt an opening for right field. Drew is signed through the year 2011 at $14 million per. He did end the regular season on a very good note, and sure is looking forward to a bounce back year. His defense was steady this past season as well. -- No reason to shell out money for a center fielder. Ellsbury will be entrenched in that position for years to come, its where he plays his best D -- Unless the FA agrees to move to left field? Manny is coming back next year for his last hurrah's of "Manny being Manny" in Boston And no Im not quick to call out Theo. After watching the Sox slip to a 3rd place 86 win finish, he went all out for a team that improved by 10 wins... and for the first time since 95 won the AL East. And they are still in the ALCS

    Gom, last time I checked, Damon's offensive and defensive skills are declining. Besides last time I checked, Sox will have Ellsbury ready to take over for 2008, and Yankees already have a replacement for Johnny in Melky Cabrera. Oh yea stupid ass move the Sox didnt pay 4 years/$52 million. It all works out in the end

    Wakefield this season on the road in 16 games, 7-8 with a 4.26 ERA Byrd this season vs Boston in 1 game, 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA. At home in 16 games, 8-4 with a 5.68 ERA

Basically the biggest year round sports event in America should be in America.     Wakefield hasnt pitched since September 29, thats 16 days of rest in between starts. He ended the season with a less than spectacular September 5 starts (1-2, 8.76 ERA) 24.2 innings, 39 Hits, 25 Runs (24 ER) 7 HRs, 7 Walks, 12 Ks

    Yucky, Pedroia has now struck out 7 times in 24 postseason ABs. This year he K'd just 42 times in 520 ABs

    That last part is worded wrong. Losing every game? His start against the Angels saw him give up 3 runs into the 5th inning. It remained tied until the 9th when Manny hit his walkoff. Tonight this game is also in the reach.

    Pedroia on defense has been same as what we've seen all year... his offense on the other hand has rewinded back to his approach in April. He's been just really agressive, no patience, hacking at any pitch
