No mini camp is all that they've given him so far. I'm surprised Goodell hasn't yet come out and just suspended him for the year -- I guess they want the investigation to play out before they do that. They just denied Odell Thurman reinstatement into the League and all he did was violate the substance abuse policy -- I believe he was wanted on assault charges a month or so back but nothing's come of it, if I remember correctly -- so I'm surprised they haven't yet just suspended him for the year. If nothing else it'd help get PETA to leave the Falcons training camp and NFL HQ alone.
It does look like they're giving him some wiggle room, but even then, it's more or less just saying "You're f***ed... you can either be more f***ed, or you can admit that you're f***ed, change your plea and retain your currently level of f***ed-edness."... technically speaking, of course.
I can't imagine that in a high profile case like this, the Feds would indict him if they weren't certain that they have enough to nail him.
