  1. Damn, that ball was crushed.
  2. Yes. 13.2 ppg, 5.2 apg in 67 games as a Hornet last year. The guy has been traded 6 times already. He will enter his 4th season in the NBA. From Kings to Hawks From Hawks to Blazers From Blazers to Warriors From Warriors to Mavericks From Mavericks to Hornets Now from Hornets to Celtics
  3. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-hatemail-jeter&prov=ap&type=lgns AP - Sep 26, 6:44 pm EDT More Photos NEW YORK (AP) -- Yankees star Derek Jeter received a threatening letter that reportedly warned he'd be ``shot or set on fire'' if he didn't stop dating white women. The FBI is investigating ``racially threatening letters to Jeter and others across the country,'' special agent Scott Wilson said Monday by phone from Cleveland. He declined to comment further. Jeter downplayed what he called the ``stupid letter,'' saying he did not perceive it as a specific threat. The Daily News reported that the hate mail to the Yankees' 31-year-old captain called him a ``traitor to his race'' for dating white women. It warned him ``to stop or he'll be shot or set on fire,'' the paper said in Monday editions, quoting an unidentified law enforcement source. Similar threatening letters denouncing interracial relationships have been sent to other public figures in recent months, including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jason Taylor, and the parents of tennis star James Blake. The threats have been traced to the Cleveland area. Jeter, who was in Baltimore on Monday for a game against the Orioles, said he heard about the letter two or three months ago and did not feel threatened by it. ``It wasn't like, 'I'm going to do this to you. I'm going to do that to you','' Jeter said. ``It was just a stupid letter. I've gotten stupid letters before. That's basically it. Now, for some reason, it's on the front page and it's some big, huge story.'' Jeter, picked by People magazine as one of the world's most eligible bachelors, has been linked with models, singers, actresses and athletes of various racial and ethnic backgrounds in New York's gossip columns. His mother is white, his father is black. In an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS' ``60 Minutes,'' Jeter said that he and his sister were taunted for being bi-racial while growing up in Michigan. But he said he has never heard any racial epithets from the fans at Yankee Stadium in his 11 seasons playing there. The NYPD's hate crimes unit recently completed a four-month investigation into the Jeter letter, which police said was mailed to Yankee Stadium earlier this season. The probe's findings haven't been made public.
  4. Hey, what's up? Welcome.
  5. I see. But the Raiders came in 0-2 before facing the Eagles. Now they're 0-3. The Redskins were 1-0 before beating the Cowboys, who were also 1-0 prior to that game. And the Eagles are the defending NFC champs, while the Raiders didn't even make the playoffs. As for the Cowboys and Redskins, they were both 6-10 in '04. So yeah, it's not comparable IMO.

  7. Or the Marlins and Angels.
  8. Nice. 34-17 UCLA.
  9. Go Bruins!
  10. I was about to tell her that, too.

  12. Does FSN New England broadcast Red Sox games?
  13. Whatever, man.

    Gigantes

I dunno, maybe because he's Latin... or because he didn't speak English. And I don't know why they wore it yesterday. But I think they shoud've worn it on August 22nd, because it was the 40th anniversary of Juan Marichal's femininity by hitting John Roseboro in the head. What a puss. http://photos1.blogger.com/img/232/2641/640/mARICHALrOSEBORO.jpg

    Gigantes

It's a tribute to Juan Marichal's statue. They also wore that jersey in May.
  16. Here's a big "what if": What if moron Fred Claire didn't trade Pedro for Delino f***ing DeShields? I also blame this on Lasorda for saying he's not "big" enough to be a Big League pitcher. One of the worst trades of all time.
  17. Here's Weaver: When he wins, he is an ace. When he loses, he's very pathetic. It's like an extreme weather. If it's hot, it's extremely hot. If it's cold, it's extremely cold. Also, don't forget we also got Yhency Brazoban from that deal. He might be struggling this year, but the guy has a bright future.
  18. I was just arguing earlier with another Brooklynite. I was talking about how pathetic it was to say it's ok for them if L.A. drops the name "Dodgers." Goddamn, I just lost my respect for the Brooklyn Dodgers. (However, I'll still keep the 1955 title in my sig for the sake of its 50th anniversary)
  19. The Mariners were certainly the best team in 2001, who just happened to choke in the playoffs. The best team can either win it all or choke, but the hottest team can only do one thing: win it all.
  20. My username there is Pure Dodger. Yeah, if I put myself in their shoes, I'd really be heart-broken. My problem is they do not like to link their history with the L.A. Dodgers. I mean, if the Dodgers never had a World Series title in Los Angeles, they wouldn't be this bitter. I know there's still plenty of die-hard NY Giant fans, but they don't mind the move to the west as much as the Brooklyn fans do because the Sf Giants weren't successful as the NY team was. Brooklyn fans hate the fact that the L.A. Dodgers have a much better success than the Brooklyn Dodgers, although most of the Dodgers' HOFers were from Brooklyn. Did you see that one comment? "The only way I won't have a problem with them is if they give up the name Dodgers." How pathetic was that? NY Giant fans always like to link their history with San Francisco. PS Do you know that ******* Angel fan, BlueSteve32. The guy is a pain in the ass. What a douche.
  21. http://baseball-fever.com/showthread.php?t=32363&page=1 Hey, NY Giant fans aren't like that to the SF Giants.
  22. Forgot to add that I meant in each series.
  23. That's why I said basically. What I meant by that is that all of their postseason wins were consecutive.
  24. Alright, this may sound better. The best team in the regular season was swept by the best team in the postseason. With that said, the Red Sox were the best team in all of baseball.
