Astros taking an early lead again. Fowler is looking like a good pickup. I know it's only two games, but he seems to be fitting in really well with his new team (apparently he bought them all whiskey)
I will repeat my post from last season:
Intentionally walking David Ortiz to get to Mike Napoli is like diving into an active volcano to escape an angry bear.
Holy crap, man. If you don't calm down you're going to give yourself a coronary before the end of April. It's the beginning of the season for the Sox. And not even the first few weeks, literally the BEGINNING. As in, game one of one hundred and sixty-two. A combination of strong wind and lack of timely hits was the reason the Sox lost this game. It happens. I shouldn't have to remind you that John Farrell won the World Series less than six months ago. Getting this worked up over possible mistakes in the first game of the season is like giving up on relationships because your eighth-grade girlfriend wouldn't let you get to second base.
I was kidding. Compared to some of the other kids this site has had hanging around, he's harmless and fairly likable. He's certainly no suns or 2004-2006 Soxfan#1
No one is like Vlad Guerrero. Even huge K guys like Reynolds or Dunn. Vlad would swing at an outside pitch thrown in Los Angeles while batting at a game in New York.
Come on, don't waste this. I have no problem with stranding of baserunners, (as a Sox fan, I have come to accept it as part of a team that gets so many guys on base), but I hate to see it squandered on the very first opportunity of the season.
